Someone highlight some points, if anything interesting comes up. I don't have time to watch the whole video!

    By the gods...

You do realize this can only mean two things:

    1: Anthro Lion soldiers.

2: War lions. Pulling chariots, and just massive units of them.

Will there be battalions of miniskirt rape slave teenage women with daggers too?

Not really any specific new things. Anyway:

    • Mention they want to change the way diplomacy and city building work. Might just be "everything will be more awesome" pr speak though.
    • Show a pretty cool video of how the game calculates projectile directions, movement etc - Basically shows what the game looks like with all the graphical fluff removed.
    • Some talk about balancing units. Nothing conclusive.
    • Lots of pictures of units and models they've made so far for the game.
    • Saw pictures of lions and boars.

    Will update as I watch

Interesting video! I quite liked to see the 'behind the scenes' stuff. Gives you an idea of how much work actually goes in these games.

I used to make maps for a first person shooter in the past, lots of work actually....but most people who played on them never understood that quite well. I got nice compliments most of the time, but i also received lots of bad comments, really harsh ones too....personal ones. Anyone who was working on a mod for any total war game knows how much work actually goes into these type of games. It's good to give some insight of it. The time and patience put in such a game.....its just wow!

Nice video! Rome2 will probably be a blast to play!

Watch it when you have the time. You won't want to miss it. It's about what goes into making the game, as opposed to what the game will be like, if that makes sense.

It's not an um, um, um presentation either, it's thoughtful and well delivered.

I have my concerns about this game, but one does get the sense that the CA staff are like pigs in **** right now, they're seeing a lot of things coming together and they have a big budget to deliver something on a scale and at a level we haven't seen before...and perhaps may never see again

I think they also feel they've got a monkey off their back with the mod tools and I basically agree with them.

So I suppose we'd better get behind this project. Rome II is going to cost us though and there undoubtedly will be loads of DLC, expansions the whole deal.

There was a question about the number of units in a battle and Russell confirmed that it will not change. I assume that means up to 40 per side. But only 20 slots per legion? I wasn't entirely sure.

I want the gangam style dance as a celebration dance after a battle DLC maybe?

thank you guys for all the hard work your putting into this game. I cannot wait to make all the other factions submit to the might of Rome.

Man, how can you tell gamers are weird people? They won't laugh when Roman soldiers dance Gangam style, but when someone gets a spear in the face or a camel is dying, then crack up.

Anyway, thanks for posting the video, would have been cool if we could have seen the slides as well on our own screen though, to appreciate some of the text and details.

CA have always talked about their upcoming games in the same way, for example "omg guess what, now you can fight battles on a 3d map, separate to the campaign map!" It's always the same.
"we want the player being put in really thought provoking situations THIS TIME like do I want to make Rome an empire or do I want them to be a republic." Oooohhh big development!! It's 32 mins of what anyone who reads anything of TWC's information would know, not to mention anyone who's familiar with the last 4 titles.

It seems from a few of the horse animations that horses actually can participate in the combat, not just be transport. Plus, it seems we might actually see in-game gladiatorial games, huh? Or maybe even participate... This keeps getting better and better.
