Spurius' Trade Venture to Carsioli (Latium III)
Spurius arrives in Carsioli to meet with the chief magistrate of the city... He makes his way for what appears to be Carsioli's form of a Senate house. He approaches a well dressed man on the steps of the house, assuming him to be a prominent local
"Greetings.. I seek an audience with the governor of your fine city. I come from Rome, seeking trade business."

Re: Spurius' Trade Venture to Carsioli (Latium III)
The Aequian Duoviri are informed of the arrival of Spurius, take exactly half a second to register that fact, and immediately stop caring. It becomes obvious to Spurius that he would be better off seeking out other merchants to deal with, perhaps in the forum of the city.

Re: Spurius' Trade Venture to Carsioli (Latium III)
Spurius realizes he will not be seen here, and he must search elsewhere... Surely there must be somewhere in the city that is willing to do business. He supposes that the prominent officials of the city are much like the Patricians in Rome, as he leaves, he notices one man stare straight at him in disgust, and spit three feet infront of him. Spurius, having little backbone staunchly ignores the insult, but his right knee quivers slightly from his poached nerves. He continues his venture and he believes he found the right place, when the looks he received were less threatening...
He passes a couple of street peddling merchants, and he realizes he must have found his own class, or very near to it. All the men seem very busy, and not many now look to him, still a young man, with any serious care, but he is determined to carry out his trade mission as best as possible, and prove himself to his cousin, Publius.
Spurius continues to walk taking in the sites of some of the structures nearby. It is a warm summer afternoon, and children are at play and their the only ones that seem to smile at him, and Spurius finds some comfort in that. Although he then realizes that perhaps one day these children will be men grown, who will scold him for his lesser Plebeian class, and give him the same disdain as those officials he's already been ignored by. He continues to where he sees what appears to be a merchant wrapping up his business with another. He waits nearby, picking up a pot from a separate, what appears to be less sophisticated local pottery merchant. His eyes are not for such simplistic trade, however he scans the pot ever so meticulously with his eyes, and the small local merchant smiles at Spurius, perhaps the first one he has seen all day from a man in this city. Spurius nods in approval, and continues to gaze upon the plain clay pot, appearing to show purchasing interest.
He overhears that the merchant he wants to speak with is concluding his business, and he awaits an audience, as the afternoon draws to a close now, and he realizes the market will be dismantling soon for another fine day concluded...
He continues to wait patiently, seeing the merchant finish his conversation, as the latter man parts ways, Spurius approaches the merchant and makes eye contact.

The merchant eyes the man suspiciously, he had never seen him before.
Come, look, the best pottery in all of Carsioli! And at a special price!

Spurius smiles
"Indeed, and nice pottery it is too... However I seek to trade in... Larger materials. I wish to discuss the trade of Marble and Lead, with someone willing to purchase such.. Seeing as how so little was produced in Carsioli this year, it would be in my best interests as a merchant to supply my friendly neighbors with such materials...
Could you direct me, fine merchant, to a local whom would purchase such materials?"

Re: Spurius' Trade Venture to Carsioli (Latium III)
You won't find any spare marble or lead in Carsioli, copper or iron sure, but we get most of our marble from Ostia and most of our lead from Rome. There are merchants that deal in heavier objects, raw materials. They call the biggest vendor "The Bull." You can't miss him. Absolute mountain of a man, bristling with muscle and with a neck as thick as a bull.

Spurius nods in subconscious, dazed reflection of the description of the man he needed to speak with.
'I thank you kind potter. I bid you a good day.'
After leaving the potter, Spurius returned to his paid room for the night, bright and early the next morning, he entered the market early and searched for this giant of a man, which should be fairly easy to identify... He sees a man, finally, matching the description, and approaches him..
'Excuse me, are you the merchant whom deals with the import of large quantities of building materials such as lead and marble?

The man is at the head of a small cart filled with blocks of copper. He stops and wipes away some sweat.
Yes, that would be me

Re: Spurius' Trade Venture to Carsioli (Latium III)
Spurius approaches the man, and eyes his cart of copper, showing disinterest in trading... instead he has his motives set on the sale of his own materials..
"I see Carsioli's stock of Lead and Marble is somewhat depleted after recent construction efforts, that I see being cleaned up... That merchant was correct, you were not difficult to find, a man of your robust stature..." Spurius smiles, trying to befriend the man
Spurius looks around and notices some construction in the distance
"Fortunate for any in need of construction materials, I come on behalf of the head of my household, Publius Aetius Valens, of Rome. He has had some success this year in his Marble and Lead mines, infact, the materials are being prepared for storage as we speak. I wish to make sale of the items to Carsioli. I would hope your the right man to do business with."

Re: Spurius' Trade Venture to Carsioli (Latium III)
ooc: honestly if you just want to sell stuff to other cities this RP isn't required. If you want to trade that's different. Though it would be stupid of you to sell units of any good without at least a small stockpile in Rome
