    Default "Pax Romana" like period

    Hi to all,
first of all, I have to congratulate with Lusted because this mod is really great, and after hours played I haven't find any bug or issue and the gameplay is great and more immersive. Really really a good work.

I was trying to estabilish a periodo of relatie peace for my empire (I'm using SPQR) but it is very hard, because any time you destroy an enemy, another one state become a threat. I conquered all Italy and its island (Sardegna, Sicilia and Corsica), then I expanded towards Gaul, mainly because they continue to attack my northern region. When I occupy the southern region of France, the Iberians (that were my allies) start to attack my legion. The same things happened with Carthage and Epirus.

I wish to know, during your campaign, when you find a period of relative peace using romans.

yea basically.... lol but i love it...but the way TE was made it reduces the battles to more critical ones.... ive had many critical battles and lost a couple and i had no defense to stop the oncoming onslaught of Iberia, Dacia, and Briton...

the diplomacy feature in RTW is worthless because the AI is worthless. It has nothing to do with any planning or coding on the developer's or anyone's part.

I've had a very hard time playing as the Romans, no peace except in the brief period after wiping out Epirus. As long as you don't maintain a border with another faction, they won't normally attack you. Taking Massilia (sp?) as the Romans will normally mean that the Iberians attack you soon after (if they've expanded to Emporion). It's important to try and play your foes off against each other. In my campaign, I only managed to take Spain and France because Gaul and Iberia went to war.

I had that happen too my first time round, but instead of Dacia it was Germania and Gaul, along with Brittania, Carthage, Iberia and even Numidia (Who did naval invasions). All allied against me. Pre-marius, there is *no* way it is possible to survive and onslaught of that scale.

You dont, and I think around 170 BC or so, if you survive that long, youll be at war with all your neighbors for sure. Usualy not with factions on the other end of the map, like Pontus or Seulicia, but just because your leagues away.
