Black Screen

Hi all,
Ive been trying to play Kingdoms lately but every time I run it it gets to the black loading screen and it stops. The only thing I see is the cursor, the annoying part is that I cant get out of it by opening the task manager, so I have to manually turn my computer off which is getting old. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and updating my graphics drivers and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

I have steam version.

Steam or dvd, the money says it's a heat issue.

Try 1024 x 786.
If this does not work, your 6150lLE won't cut it. I had a 7300LE in a desktop that barely would.

Run Microsoft Update manually and install all software options starting with Service Pack 3. I used it until I upgraded so it's not bugged.

by 1024 x 786 do you mean resolution?

Monitor resolution, yes.

Why am I doing this now? I have run kingdoms before and it worked fine

Okay, it worked before, it will, again, but maybe not on this computer as old as it is.

It can be
1. heat, clean out hthe case.
2. power supply on the way out, find a program to check your voltages and temps.
3. parts wearing out. It's at least four years old.
