Icon5 An odd problem when installing Windows 7

I have had this custom build for about a year. I have had Windows 7 and Windows XP installed on it before. Everything went fine durring the install process. However, now that I have someone that wants to buy it, I cant seem to reinstall Windows 7 on it. When 7 starts to boot from the disk, it takes a long time on the starting windows screen. Once it finally gets past that, it just hangs on that blue welcome screen that appears before you can choose to install. I have gone through all the troubleshooting measures for Windows 7 hanging on install. I took out everything that was not essential, went though all the BIOS options, swapped out the memory, everything I could think of. The thing is, I can get XP to install on it fine, but when I try to install 7, I have this problem.

The really weird thing is that absoloutly nothing on the PC has changed since the last time I installed Windows 7. It has worked before, so why wont it work now? I even tried using another Windows 7 disk that I have to no avail.

If someone can help me with this, I'll be forever in your debt.

wipe the drive with another machine with a full format not a quick format after doing so it should install fine.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it to work by installing Windows 7 via flash drive. I have no idea why exactly I could not get it to work from a disk seen as it worked fine for my other PC, not to mention I installed XP from disk, but regardless, at least I got it to work.
