Lets Play: Silvan Elves! With kostas84

Hello people, this thread will be for my new Lets Play of the Silvan Elves!

A 25-30 minute video takes 3-4 hours to render and around 3-4 hours to upload with 100 kb/sec upload speed of Greece, so i hope you enjoy these videos.

Please leave some constructive feedback on how i should improve my future commentary videos.

The first part is coming, its still rendering, but i will post the video here when its done rendering and uploading.

The quality is bad and i apologize for that, i was trying some new settings but they didnt do well, ill do my regular HD settings in the future.

Fun to see someone play MOS in this kind of videos, could suggest you drop a post telling you do so in the MOS thread unless you've done so already

Map without FOW might make folks less interested I can tip, suggest you turn it off once you have seen where the towns close by are (understand that if one do not know the map it's far between the settlements) and then turn it on to attract more viewers.
Oh, and with no FOW the end turn times will be even longer. Turn it on before end turn and cut turn times out from the video for good flow

Tip: Don't raise taxes unless in big need of money, it's better with lower so the population grows, because in the long-term it's better with tax-paying population and upgraded settlements

Elven lore alliances; the Elves were all friendly (and so they start even if not allied - but which makes it easier for them to ally), still the Elves of Lórien and Mirkwood for examples had not had any real contact for at least many hundres of years during LotR.
HE and Lórien had a much better and active relationship, still this was as far as we know due to personal connections between the two peoples leaders (the White Council for example) than any formal alliance.

Guys, please post some more feedback, its motivating me to go on with this series.

I would recommend you to go for Dol Guldur as soon as possible. The moment you take it, you get a great recruitment center and Mordor won't be a bother to you for a long time. You can use that time to unite all of Mirkwood under your banner. If you allow them to expand, you'll have a much harder time. Avoid the garrison script and take spearmen with you as you should expect to fight at least Khamul (a nazgul). Also, there is no need to pay for buildings you can't build yet. Hope that was helpful. Also, I was wondering if you had any feedback for my Rhun campaign. I'm on turn 26 myself now.

I might record and commentate and edit the video tomorrow depending on my mood, rendering while im @ bed sleeping tomorrow and uploading to youtube when im at school.

It will be a lot of work editing out the end turns(because it might cause the audio to get out of sync if im not overly careful).

Its a lot of work and time doing these videos and if nobody watches and gives feedback on them theres no point in continuing, but i do this because i enjoy doing it so ill continue even if it does take all day to render and upload a single video.

Ill record and do the other stuff today, video will come tomorrow.

Edit: While i was doing the lets play i was getting a ton of fps lag where in the last video i got none, ill have to fix that first before continuing, because i cant play with that much fps lag.
