A couple of issues

Hi all !

I'm new here (and you've probably noticed that), mainly because I'm having a couple issues with CoW.

At first I downloaded the original russian version, the 3 big parts from extabit, and it worked. However, the game kept CTDing with the "Sigmar preserve us etc" whenever a) I tried to fight a custom siege battle and b) at the sixth turn of every campaign.
Then I installed the 1.5.1 and the english fix/translation/voices, but the issue a) still remains and though the issue b) looks to have diseappeared now I can't start a new campaign since it goes back to the previous menu in an endless loop.

Sooooo, after lurking a bit on this forum I read somewhere to download RotDG from Gigantus as an answer to this issue, and (me'z smart !) so I did from its thread "Easy and painfree installation 1.5", the 3 .exe parts from infracta.de (and not any patch/fixes for now).

However, when I'm installing the first part at the beginning of it appears a message "the file First Crusader is corrupt or unreadable" and it stops.


What am I supposed to do ? I don't really care to choose one of the two downloads, all I want is to play it ! Now I'm reinstalling the original russian version, but I'd happily welcome any tip or solution on the matter.


P.S. since I'm Italian and not a mothertongue speaker forgive my english if sometimes it sounds a bit odd.

Ok, I solved my first issue, in the patch 1.5.1 released by the russian site there's a wrong copy of descr_strat, it's easily done by replacing it with the old one. Still keeps crashing whenever I try to fight a custom siege battle and also sometimes randomly, but at this point it's big deal (still, if....).

I would have cancelled my triple topic and also edited this one, but I couldn't see anywhere the delete/edit button.
