Dear Rio,

I would very much LOVE to play your mod, but I can't download or even access, as my IE crashes each time I try to access the 4 (Gamefront) documents. Do you plan to upload your mod elsewhere? Is there anyone experiencing the same bug?

I have only this browser... Internet Explorer. Does anybody have the same problem? Each time I reach gamefront, it just crashes. Rio, do I understand correctly that you will upload your mod to another server "soon"? (I mean, when you have time for that?)

So do i install this into my RTW folder or BI? Since i tried to run it from the desktop shortcut i only get the error message "Failed to find steam"

Is set to install in your rtw folder

Im not sure but having steam may complicate things. I will need to find info to see what problems may arise and ways to fix them

I will try that one and post back if it helps. For EB i set lauch option -mod:eb -show_err, are there any similar for this mod like -mod:ib vgr -show_err?

Yes. The mod folder is named rio though and not vgr. I have it set up as such:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War\RomeTW-BI.exe" -show_err -mod:rio

Oops... having some challenges. I tried both download methods and I am getting an error message:
IB Ultr Gloriam Romane has not fully installed because of the following reason:
File corrupt or unreadable
rio\data\mod_0. pak

I opened the game and I seam to have strange hybrid between the old and new. The flash screens are new, soem of the portraits are new, the cities look round instead of square. However, the city names in Britain have not changed andneither have the unit starting strength. Now, I will confess that I did install it over my old version of BRG like I have before with other updates and there was no problem before. Does this mean I should unistall RTW, re-install then doanload the update?

Its important to start new with this one. I would delete the old rio folder first before installing. Also just in case your not aware, you dont need to copy the bi folder and rename it rio as we used to do

Please note that the mod contains a batch file like the M2TW mod set up. It is therefore not necessary to make elaborate short cuts, simply link to the "Executable.BAT" file in the ...\Rome - Total War\rio folder.The batch file contains (among other stuff) this command: RomeTW-BI.exe -show_err -mod:rio

I installed RTW Gold from cd instead of troubleshooting steam thanks for the help guys.

Hmm... I deleted the old rio folder from my "Rome Total War folder and downloaded and installed the game. The result was the same :
IB Ultr Gloriam Romane has not fully installed because of the following reason:

Any other ideas? I downloaded the first three files from file front into my RTW folder. Should I have downloaded them else where?
