Lets get straight to the point: what clan would you include as playable and why?

I write this out of frustration with vanilla Shogun.

Personally, I would play as the Imagawa, as during this time there were very powerful and had influence that stretched from Kanto to Kyoto.

In this light, I find it odd we can play as the Tokugawa (an obscure, unimportant clan at this time which we only get to play as due to the fame of Ieaysu Tokugawa).

Also, special mention to the Ito. Historically much more important and interesting than the Shimazu.

Late Azuchi-Momoyama Clans.

Much more epic looking, with kabutos. Even though Maeda Toshinaga is not known.

Still. You cannot deny...



(Shameless plug. Maeda Clan is available in the Seki Campaign mod, no its not in the All Clans Playble or vanilla, its made just for the Seki, so we can have an excuse to have Maeda Toshiee's kabuto. )

Well you can use one of the mods to play any clan. I became Shogun with Jinbo and now having a campaign as Sogo.
Play Ito or Imagawa if you want or even Ashikaga.The one I use works with Darth mod too.

im quite happy with the playable clans, although i too would like to see imagawa, mogami and asai added from vanilla clans.

as for other "periods" i'd take tachibana under ginchiyo.

This game lacks a proper vassalage mechanics :|
It also lacks the feature where entirely new clans may rise up and emerge from being vassals....(or in shogun 2's case: generals)
