    Default Need help with Unit.loc

Hey, i've come pretty far with my next mod.

I succesfully manage to create my first units yay

However i have no clue where to find/get unit. loc in the assembly kit editor. Any tip? =)

The garrison units i created do have unit cards (using existing vanilla ones) and a description (again vanilla ones for placeholder). But no name shows up on the unit (its just blank with description and stats )

moreover the units somehow bug out the castle hover over tooltip on the campaign map making it transparent and missplaced. I figured the unit. loc will fix this

Thanks for any help given =)

edit: the problem im trying to solve should be clear watching the picture below ^^ and yes you can now actually make completely new garrison units, i added the matchlock samurai (had to make from scratch) which is seen on the screenshot, i also created the matchlock sniper garrison unit. ^^

Just wondering, did you create custom units made in the unit editor for your new units? If so, how did you add the matchlock samurai unit cards to it? (I'm new to modding and really don't know how to add unit cards.) If you just used the vanilla matchlock samurai models then nevermind haha

Nah i just added new rows and copied over their stats and commands in the relevant tables.
Only real difference between them is that one appear as garrison force in sieges only to poof again ^^

So nope, didnt use the unit editor

I will learn it someday, but atm im neckdeep in building effect balancing and AI tweaking Q_q and im testing this one alone

I'd ask IdGood or radious, both have released unit packs and i know radious have added unique cards.

Edit: now that i think of it, there's a custom unit guide at the tools and resource part of the forums. i recommend reading up on it =)

I figured it out. You have to add the .tga file you want for the unit cards into UI\Units\Icons and UI\Units\Info (Propbably just one but I added it to both just to be safe.) The .tga has to have the same name as the unit_varient you are using for your unit aswell

Hey, zhiphius, I was just wondering how you solved this problem, I am experincing it as well. Just, with some custom cavalry units. No name, building card gets messed up, and screen kinda goes dark when you mouse over their portrait.
    Thanks a bunch!

Actually, nevermind, I figured it out on my own. Apparently, two of my custom units were both altering my units.loc file. Whoops!
