Error when trying to launch

Hiya, thought I'd give this mod a try, though so far I cannot even get it to start.

Downloaded 6.3 first, installed, downloaded 6.4 next, installed that correctly as well without errors - I do have steam, which I clicked yes for when it asked too, though when I click on the mod stainless steel, on the list of games, "medieval 2, teutons, vikings etc" I get this error

The error window is called "CA_LIBS"

And it says, "Medieval II suffered a fatal error and will not exit."

I tried uninstalling and installing again - yet the same result shows!

Not really sure what to do here.

Was your UAC disabled?

what did you do to fix it? I'm having the same problem and my UAC is turned off.

Same here, cant pley the game. Have tryed to download again and run only 6.3 but same result. Something called CA_LIBS when i try to start the game.

I previously had a problem where SS would crash as soon as it got to the splash screen. I then deleted SS and reinstalled and had the same problem. Then I deleted SS again, and this time I made sure I ran the 6.4 installer as Administrator and it worked. No more crashes. Perhaps you can try that?
