    Hey guys,

After a week of hinting, the most requested video we’re ever had is finally here. The full Carthage battle in-game fly-over is up now on Gamespot. Our very own James Russel talks though the entire siege, with Total War: Rome II information a plenty.

Also, there are still a couple of days left to cast your vote in the golden joysticks. Total War: Rome II is up for ‘One to Watch’ and Fall of the Samurai is up for ‘Best Strategy’:

    Enjoy!

these romans not have the montefortino helmet,i guess as is the third punic war,the uniforms have evolved from the first and second Punic War with a military reform at this time.

that all legionaries lift the shield when they run in the same way is quite unreal and artificial,I guess it's all in pre-alpha stage.

I saw plenty of these. Rome had no uniform ok guys? So there was always a HUGE variety of different equipment

my impresion is that the many roman helmets is not are not properly designed to a historical way,but I am anticipating everything is in pre-alpha.
another thing is to use the cavalry and elephants within cities is not realistic and strategic.
elephants and the cavalry are on the battlefield and not for use within cities.
if used the cavalry and elephants within cities should be serious penalties in combat for use within cities,to be realistic.

I feel as though there's no point in living my life until this comes out. Nothing I do will ever be as epic until this game comes out.

That video was entirely awesome. Like, nothing at all disappointed me in it.

The fact that it still uses Shogun 2 taiko drums and horns means its really pre-alpha.

I can't even think of words to express how amazing that looked...There's just so much, all the cool little things they do like lifting their shields up, and the fighting animations, it just all looked so good!! That and it just looked beautiful.

Looks nice, but where are the Phoenician hoplites? All I see are Roman maniples engaging citizen levies.

Third and final punic war. Might as well ask why France doesn't have fully armored gens d'armes in Empire.

P.S. Hoplites of the non-mercenary kind were citizen levies, too.

P.P.S. I really hope I am not actually required to fight landing battles, because that would utterly ruin the game for me. Why must everything be turned into holywood?

Carthage at this point didn't really have a functioning military arm. They were starved for a few years, and turned Carthage into an arsenal and armed every citizen.

Also, it's pretty pre-alpha. So that's why you're not seeing your hoplites.

Hoplites in 146 BC are like arquebusiers in WW1
