He finds Sextus plebing it up.

"Greetings, Sextus!" Marcus embraces his old friend.

"How go the Tuccii?"

[The Stig]

The two embrace for only slightly longer than what would be considered the soical norm.

"We're good, all things considered. Great aunt Julia passed away last month, but we've sent a ship to Carthage, to investigate commericial possibilities.

"Ah, Julia... Was she the fat one? Or was that Junia... Anyway, congratulations on the election. Aedile. Try not to let the city fall apart, no?"

[The Stig]

"I'll try not to, but with the Volsci on our doorstep it may be harder than you think."

[Okmin]

The tribune scoffed.

"If the Volsci tore down the city you'd hardly be the first one blamed."

[The Stig]

"Tell that to the Patricians. They're so busy looking down their noses at us, you can be sure if anything goes wrong, we'll be the first to blame."

[Okmin]

"Of course the patricians will blame us first. But as far as the rest of the population is concerned, they'd blame the so-called nobles."

[The Stig]

"Fair enough. What are your thoughts on the recent actions of the Consul? We must respond, but do you believe constant vetos are suitable?"

[Okmin]

"Oh, not at all. Constant vetoes would just piss them off. The only way to get what we want is to irritate the upper class just enough to make them want to give in simply for the relief of not having to deal with whatever issue anymore."

[The Stig]

"Irritation of the higher classes doesn't seem to be the foundation for a stable liberation of the lower, at least in my thinking. They've proven themselves stubborn in the past, and I see no reason why we should beg them for change when we can just as easily force them to accept, on our terms. Still, I'm not advocating violence, just common sense."

[Okmin]

"We on agree on that much, at least. For now we must wait and see, unfortunately. Bide our time, build influence and wealth... which would be extremely welcome right now really; I think I've only got four hundred denarii left."

[The Stig]

"Ha! If the other cities and the Senate doesn't get us, the moneylenders certainly will!"

"Sextus Tuccius I am, however, the position of tribune is still in doubt."

"Ah I see.. hopefully you anim.. I mean plebeians can work that out amongst yourselves. But now to business. The Lex Inlationis Civibus Mamerca states that all plebs must pay 20% of their income to the treasury. I am here to collect the taxes."
