wana do a multiplayer campaign?
does anybody want to play a play by email campaign if yes i will post the script i got from mydraals script generator
there is one more step to it but im not going to explain unless somebody actually wants it
i dont know if it will interfere with the games inherent scripts however..
id need to play a game with quite a few turns to test it properly and that sounds like a hassle to do all by myself
for the makers of this fine mod, the multiplayer script would be a fine addition to this mod but as an optional add on cuz multiplayer campaign is the dream of every rtw player yatta yatta yatta,
the maker of the script generator would want to be pmed though he is myrddraal in totalwar.org dont know how that is possible, i couldnt join their forum becuz i got the letters in the box thing wrong 10 times so i cant go there anymore lol
but anyway ive already made the script, it has the maximum number of playable factions, 13 right? and so i (think) that if you delete the factions script in the text file you will not be using you can use the new script for playing a campaign with the factions that you want, the one i made has the maximum number so it can be used as a template
the name of the script is currently show_me.txt
id also need to know how to upload it though unless bittorent is fine or i could paste the text into a post here but then you would have to put it in the folders manually..
i got the idea from the thread in the t.e. forum but yours was the mod in my 1.5 space currently and i didnt feel like switching so i decided to use it on chiv 4.4 with hotfix
but then again a full multiplayer campaign might not be wise considering that the game ctds alot and thats when it is without the script in place but this is a good thing to keep in mind for the future since your mod is still in its infancy and since you havent done anything overly major to it, now would be the time to work in these little things 
edit i have just tested it and there is a conflict in the scripts, the new script does not load, :hmmm:

its not a good idea to have the multiplayer script on right now since Chiv TW is still in its beta testing phase.....

Im pretty sure you cant add in the script to a mod, because the script has to generate the correct number of players and factions for a campaign, you cant put this in a mod. You have to start it on your own.

i dont mean adding the script generator i mean a full script with all the possible factions to be used as a template, just delete the faction in the script if you dont want to play that faction. i saved the full script in a folder i named oldmptemplate and you can edit it for the factions you want then save as into the scripts folder. in case you want to use the script generator anyway, i made a txt file list in turn order of the playable and nonplayable factions for reference, just add in the number of players you want then in turn order the factions you want and then youll have to put the script in its correct place manually. That is if you do not want to use my template.
as for the changes needed to export_descr_advice i made a copy of that, added in the extra line, saved it in my mods folder, to be exctracted through jsgme. so that step is already done and never has to be done again.
but anyway this is mostly speculative, the script competes with the merc script and does not work, the mp script needs the show me how button to be enabled is there any way to get the 2 scripts to work together and both run simultaneous? Perhaps if i merged them into the same txt file... :hmmm:
anyway this is good modding practice for me

I would be interested in having the script and any resources that are available. I am very interested myself in PBeM campaigns since it seems to be the only way to do campiagns MP... I did not know this existed, and had been pondering what this needs to get going!!!
I can also host any of the files... Please PM me?
BTW - Chiv folks...very nice mod, if you need any file hosting assistance I will be glad to provide. PM me...
