ANOTHER problem with my computer.

I've now got the computer up and running, I tried playing Mount and Blade: warband half an hour ago and the gameplay was jittery and there appeared to be a clear line running through the bottom of my screen horizontally, though my internet is fast and the FPS it was showing was 60 so I have no idea why it'd jitter. I then proceeded to install the newest graphics driver and still had the same problem. I then tried to launch LA Noire and it just said "loading" for 10 minutes at desktop and then froze my computer.

EDIT: I've figured out the problem with LA noire not starting up was "lucidlogix virtu mvp" which I uninstalled and now it launches properly.

ALSO: Now the Mount and blade gameplay isn't jittery but the clear line is still running through the screen.. unusual.

You really haven't given a lot of info for anyone to go on here. You said in your last post that you ruled out the GPU but the first thing you went for in this thread is updating the graphics drivers. Why so?

I couldn't help but notice that you seem to have a 100MB partition on your data drive that seems to coincide with your 100MB pagefile. Have you set up some kind of caching scheme between your SSD and your data drive? That's something I'd like to know before going forward. Otherwise there's nothing really to build on from here. Answer what you can. Good luck!

I thought my GPU had given up hardware wise but now i'm thinking software. I don't know why the 100 MB partition exists and I don't know how to get rid of it, it just appeared when I reinstalled Windows 7 lolol. I might try uninstalling graphics drivers completely and then installing the latest one. [z77-express-virtu-mvp-benchmark] - isolated search terms for further searches by yourself.

MVP is much more than Virtu. This is the first solid hit from your end. I can't say where it will lead but it seems your best bet.

The graphical line you describe about your Warband graphics sounds like Screen Tearing. Now the link I posted seems to be linked to that program you uninstalled ([lucidlogix virtu mvp]). I can't say off hand why this is relevant - either crazyeyes or Bolk could maybe shed some light. But I would say that a software problem is in fact your first step in solving this. It would seem that that software forces a render at 60FPS by sacrificing every other frame. But I'm no expert on this level and am only trying to give you ideas on how to proceed. Good luck!

That's very unusual in Warband with nvidia cards. Have you tried enabling VSync? That's usually the simplest solution for this. When you're playing a game, you have your display, and your back buffer. The back buffer renders the scene as well as the display. When it comes time for the next frame to show, the back buffer gets swapped to the primary display, and a new back buffer is rendered. If you get an FPS drop in the display, but the back buffer is swapping faster than the primary, and then the scenes don't match up. That's why you see the screen tearing and artifacts - that's an actual second scene. Enabling VSync will force them to run at the same framerate - whatever the refresh rate of you monitor is. I know Mount&Blade doesn't limit FPS, and it can skyrocket up to 130+ at times,, and your typical monitor is 60hz (sometimes 59-75, or if you're 3d, a faux 120hz) so you do the math. If you have any sort of triple buffering enabled (Warband doesn't offer that but the nvidia control panel might) then disable it.
