    Default Error applying transforms

I'm having some major issues trying to reinstall RTW, I "uninstalled" it at one point but every time I launched the installer it would tell me to Play or Uninstall, I think I got this error from starting to move my RTW folder and then cancelling it a quarter way and moving the files back. I've got that fixed now but when I install I'm getting the error:

"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transforms are valid. C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{A642BB6B-CA1D-4142-8DD4-318C3F3DC834}\1033.mst"

Now, I tried cutting that file out of the folder and it gives me the error:

"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transforms are valid. G:\1033.mst"

"G:\" being my CD drive, so it's having the error from the RTW CD and I don't know what to do now. I've painstakingly deleted every registry I could find for RTW and I'm just flat out lost now. I've searched for similar threads and they didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Registry entry. Use a registry cleaner like ccleaner.

tried it, but no help. the problem seems to be with a registry key related to RomeTW. I've removed them all (both with cleaners and manually), but I cannot get around this problem in order to reinstall the game. please help!!

Got it! If anyone else has this issue, you need to manually delete all registry keys associated with the error message. Just run "regedit" and search for the key in the error message. even after you delete them you will still get an error message, but it will say ".......e:\1033.mst" or wherever your cdrom drive is at. now you can't install from the cdrom, but if you burn the CDs to an image file you will be able to reinstall from the mounted image. Damn that sucked! Reformat my hard drive my ass!
