Politics? Speculation aside.

I can imagine there being a political element involved, I'm attempting not to speculate though, because it's fruitless, rather asking a question, that someone may elucidate, without speculating, on there being in the beginning a republic and of course a political spectrum.

I've seen talk of intrigue so I am assuming this has something to do with any political element that may be included; will we see a spectrum of parties and voting, bargaining for seats, majority, minority, bribery and assassination etc..? This would reflect an essential element of the Rome Republic.

I don't know man. It's awesome to speculate and it'd be even more awesome if that was simulated in the game but, let's not blow our expectations out of proportion
