Icon5 Newly Built PC Isn't Displaying on my Monitor?

So I just recently constructed this build.

    http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=19431605

And as soon as I finished putting everything together it was time for the moment of truth, I pressed the power button on the case, the fans kicked on, the power supply started humming. It was beautiful, that is, until it didn't display anything on the monitor. . I did a test boot similar to the one from the newegg youtube instructional video before I put everything together in the case and it worked fine. But as soon as I put everything together in the case it didn't display. I've read on multiple forums that people have problems when they try to plug their monitor into the vga port of their motherboard but as soon as they plug their monitor into the dvi port in their graphics card it worked. If I bought a vga to dvi adapter and used that to plug the monitor into my graphics card as opposed to my motherboard would it work? . Also, my case did not include a mounting bracket that could fit my SSD so can I just tape the SSD to the bottom of the case?

first off your graphics card comes with a DVI to VGA adaptor check the box, that simple you can put the ssd just about anywhere it doesnt matter it has no moving parts alot of guys use velcro or double sided tape and stick them on the back side of the motherboard panel it doesnt matter where it goes really

and regardless if you have a GPU you never use the motherboard video thats computer knowledge 101.

now if gigabyte was so damn cheap that they didnt include one then just grab one of newegg the damn things are pennies on the dollar

Same here. Then when I need one, I can never find them, and end up buying one. And then a week later I find them all again.

Just make sure that your DVI port is analog as well, otherwise the adapter won't work.

They're cheap on Amazon too, I've bought a couple of this one:
