As I know and as I have learned those roman age battlefields were very nasty,
covered with blood and body parts you know. If I now know correctly we dont
have no blood or such things because of Pegi 16? Or I'm have understood incorrectly?

I really dont know the answer to that. But i would prefere a lot more gore in the game. Not the zombie-gore-style but just realistic gore.

It does what it wants really well; Simulate the over the top blood effects in old Japanese Samurai movies.

I think the game should have blood at launch regardless. This "pay for blood" crap has to stop.. Medieval 2's was free, and was in at launch.

The difference between then and now is that then it was less and not nearly as graphic and did not warrant a high rating as it does now. So for the game to be able to be sold in certain countries and reach a wider audience they need to omit it and include it as a DLC.

good argument for bad quality. i rather think it was hard to implement it that quick.

A big one for me, above the blood and gore flying from the wound, is the degradation of soldiers' uniforms in the battles. This was (sort of ) well done in Med II, where troops would become dirty and seemingly bloodied. This should be the case in Rome 2. From the screenies so far (which are probably after-edited) it looks like there is a bit of blood and wear, but who knows what the end result will be

pegi 16 is without blood, with blood it goes to 18. I hope we will have a small dlc for blood like the other time and more realistic blood animation than in shogun 2. Less blood but more realistic.

Oh how facts get ignored.

They wouldn't be able to sell their game to people under 18 in countries that use PEGI. In the US it wouldn't matter as much, but it is much easier to standardize it and keep the rating they've had since day one, and just add blood as an OPTIONAL DLC later.

I'm with you! We who are over 18 shouldn't wait for blood just because of the people who aren't ! I don't understand those ratings though, everyone knows that nobody respects them, I'm sure that there are a lot of people under 18 who play Shogun 2 with blood effects. OK! CA gotta follow the "book".

That's like saying if they make another Alexander expansion for Rome 2, everyone who bought the original should get the new one. Which is ridiculous.
