error after launch
Hi!
I regularly installed Roma Surrectum 2, but I don't manage to get the campaign started. I can hear the drum roll, then I read the following lines, and the game automatically ends.
Script error in data/descr_battle_map_lighting_and_fog_control txt, at line 7, column 1.
Expecting reading 'min_ light_intensity'
How can I sove the problem?
[I'm Italian, I hope my English is clear]
- What OS do you use? Windows XP
- What version of RTW do you use? 1.5 patch
- Are you using steam or not? no
- Install path - C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War
- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc) - Rome TW.exe, rome

Re: error after launch
First of all - welcome to TWC.
Hi, your English is fine although I think you meant 'I recently installed' (which means you've only just installed the game) rather than 'I regularly installed' (which implies you install the game a lot).
It just sounds like that something has happened with your RSII install.
Make sure that the underlying game works OK (start a vanilla R:TW campaign) before you try and install any mods.
Also, we suggest that you take a copy of R:TW and copy it to another folder and install RSII onto the copy. That way you still have a R:TW install that works and can be used as a base for another mod - or another try at installing the mod.

Re: error after launch
Thank you for your advice, Brusilov.
I discovered that the problem was a RSII installation file, RS24, which was damaged. I redownloaded it, reinstalled RSII, and now it works!
