about rome, shogun, and mideival
is the multiplay persistant? i mean persistant as in i keep what i build and theres no ending to the maps. like a opeen-ended world kinda like WoW (not that i like WoW in fact i hate it)

Nope, sadly, you can't play the campaigns in multiplayer, just individual battles. As far as I know, it will be the same for Medieval 2.

i dont mean campaigns i mean a persistant world where u dont have to restart maps.

Nope, they're all self contained battles. It's just like fighting a quick or custom battle in single player.

Yeah, I know of very few....actually none. That's a very hard genre to make persistent.....If you can find any, let us know!

i know of a few MMORTS games but... they kinda suck and theres like 2 or 3 i havent tried... the ones that have monthly fees.
but what are the RTSs' u mentioned that have persistant multiplayer gameplay?
edit: nvm i just noticed to posted that u know none. thx anyway tho
