Upgreadable weapons/armour? More regional bonus/specialisations
A feature of medieval 2 was visible differences in armour (and weapons?). I'd love to see this is Rome2.
Also more specific differences in troops recruited from certain regions and also make them region specific possibly.
Perhaps one feature would be as the Romans when you conquer a barbarian city you should then be able to recruit it's troops.
E.g the roman used Batavians for naval operations because they were from the netherlands (more or less) and were accustomed to figting/swimming. Using boats etc. Generally Roman calvalry alas were formed of Gauls/Germans as they were better horseman.
You might also give certain troops bonus for fighting in certain areas due to the fact they are from the region originally.
There are quite a few areas I think CA could improve things just to make warfare a little bit more interesting and give the campaign a more strategic feel.
E.g some regions shouldnt necessarily be able to produce all unit types meaning you might need to ship them in as it were...
oops can a mod change upgreadable to upgradeable pls
