    Default trackerpad issue

This is only a small problem, but very annoying. My laptop wont let me use the most and keyboard at the same time. unless its an external mouse. As soon as i start typing it overrides the tracker pad and wont let me use it while im typing or for a second or two afterwards. It isnt a huge issue, but it means FPS games are almost impossible. Any ideas how to fix it? or do all laptops have this? Its a Lenovo Ideapad but i dont know the exact model number

A quick and dirty search gave me this - How to troubleshoot a T61 touchpad not working.

From a quick overview it looks like there's a software conflict between an external mouse and the touchpad. For this particular model it lists "UltraNav" as a potential problem. This is a basic tutorial on how to fix the problem for that model.

It looks like you need to install the hardware in a particular order. First disable the touchpad, install the mouse and let it acquire through PnP, and then reinstall the the touchpad.

It would really help us to know what model of Lenovo laptop you have. Can you provide any kind of clue on that matter? Good luck!

there are some keyboards that to avoid mistypes, they lock the touhcpad, you disable that on the touchpad options on the system tray
