    Default Modding/Editing the descr_strat file

    Hi guys,

I recently purchased M2TW and Kingdoms via Steam and have become interested in messing around with the descr_strat file, as that seems to be the easiest way for me to do my own modding to the game.

I have looked at this thread already (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=197219) but I want to know more about parts of the descr_strat file that can be edited to make the game better. If you could tell me what parts of the descr_strat file that you edited, what you did to it, and the result it has on gameplay I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

(If this thread is in the wrong section or there is already a thread like it, I'm sorry. I'm new to the forums and didn't turn up anything after some quick searching.)

That thread pretty much says what you can do with it. It maybe easier to respond if you tell us what you would like to do.

Basically I don't know enough about the game to know of things that could be fixed or altered for a better experience while playing, and was interested in how other players have changed the descr_strat file to accommodate their play, and in doing so learn for myself ways to mod the file.

So play the game first and see what you want to change...

You just bought a shirt and without even trying it on you're asking us how to alter the cut so it fits better.

The best thing you can do for a better experience is get mods, haha. Play a M2 campaign or two first, then get Stainless Steel. Then try Broken Crescent, Third Age, The Last Kingdom, etc. There are many to choose from.
