M2TW - "Risk" mod?
Does a Risk-based mod exist?
features:
> relatively small base income per turn
> income per turn increases based on regions captured.
> a region is logical group of territories. ie. The British Isles = one region. North Italy = one region. Iberian peninsula = one region.
> regions awarded different values based on number of territories/borders, location, and difficulty in holding. ie. North Italy is worth more than the British Isles or Scandinavia.
> Some city-states are single-territory regions. ie. Rome, Constantinople, Jerusalem or Antioch, Carthage?
> You can negate a players region income bonus by capturing one of the regions territories.
> Some way to adapt the RISK-style card system to M2TW. This might take brainstorming.
> Financial value of card sets may increase each turn-cycle, to encourage expansion.
> Income value of region bonuses may increase each turn-cycle, to encourage expansion.
> All regions have pre-set income and thus city management (building, population, recruitment, etc) is irrelevant.
> Certain units retain their recruitment cost, however cost keeps pace with money supply, somehow.
> Simplify the game to exclude things like assassins, plague, and err toward the simplicity inspired by the game of RISK.

you didnt enjoy playing Risk as a kid?
Its only the basis for all TW games.
Forgot to add:
- random assignment of territories from the start, evenly distributed amongst factions. you choose where to invest your armies.
the battle map takes the place of the dice as the determinant factor in battles.

ohh, i really enjoyed playing risk! we played days for total domination.
interesting ideas. wish you good luck.
btw, i think your concept is unique
