Default A few thoughts about cohorts.

Cohorts will likely be able to gain experience as in RTW but my thought was for legionary and Auxilery ones is that instead of 1-10 floating small flags to show experience they add award discs to the cohorts standard that the barer carries. For legions as a whole the same principle can be applied on the aquila.

Also another point would be to have the option to recruit a large Aux cohort or a small Aux Cohort as sizes varied and be named for where they are recruited.

Regional troops would be cool, but CA have never really done a full blow AOR, just a few for some regions.

ps. you've got Jack Lusted looking at you thread ^^

    Wow I am honored

I know but some mods have so its very possible. Ive always read lots of books on this time period both fictional and non fictional and well works very slow and have came up with swathes of ideas on the military side of things.

I wish i could speed up time to next summer

That would be next winter for me (AUSTRALIA!)

It's easier for the community to make an AoR than the game devs, mainly because the game devs have to make all the unit parts, texture them, make them compatible with the game, add the units in, and make some UI for the unit.

The community can just copy what CA has done, but just change it slightly to get a new unit.

in my opinion, CA should spend their time on more important things like the games central features, I'm fine with the community taking care of things like this.

Oh I agree CA have to do the hard stuff to do but would be nice for a few AoRs or that we can just name the units ourself after all many Aux cohorts had there own unique histories.
