The Odyssey of the Exiles (Closed, requires no rolls)
The young man had appeared on the north-western coast of Fair Isle after a large storm, a small skiff appearing in the dead of night and leaving. All that was left in the morning was a half-dead man upon the beach, his tunic ripped and soaked, and his hands still bound.
The Old Fisherman had found him that morning, about to go out to catch a good yield at dawn. Instead, he found a black-haired man with an aristocratic complexion at his feet.
The Old Fisherman thought he had an idea of who he probably was. The Old Fisherman didn't care. He nursed him back to health, feeding him soups and watching him sleep with nightmares.
The young man didn't speak for a long time. He only stared into distances that didn't exist, as if looking at something only he could see. He never smiled. His blue eyes were somber and mournful.
The Old Fisherman had an idea what the young man was going through however, and had faced losses of his own. He had lost his wife and daughters to disease, his son to the sea. He did not speak for a time also, as if his mouth was sewn shut. He only stared into the deep western horizon, looking towards the Sunset Sea.

Re: The Path of the Exile (Closed, requires no rolls)
After a time, the young man began to speak, but only when necessary and in responses to questions, and never in many words.
The Old Fisherman was now having him help with catching the daily yield, as the young man was no longer too weak to hold his own, and needed to work for his bed.
The young man began to stare eastward, apparently refusing to look west or north.
After a time, some armed men appeared at the Old Fisherman's home. Around fifty or so. They were apparently looking for the young man. Being reunited, the whole warband and the young man both looked overjoyed to see one another, with a mournful touch to their joy.
The young man left with the warband the next day, his attitude somewhat more confident, a slight hopeful smile across his face. They left upon a small sail ship, evidently from the islands by design, and sailed southward into the horizon.
The Old Fisherman was a bit sad to see him go, for he was now alone again. In the same vein, everything was normal again, and so he was happy for both himself and for the young man, who had his life still ahead of him.

Re: The Path of the Exile (Closed, requires no rolls)
There is a small belief on the island of New Ghis among some of its people that dates back some centuries.
Most don't know the full myth, and others find it to be a child's bedtime story.
It is however, still told across the island, even though the rest of Old Ghiscar has long forgotten it.
It is told that, at some time, a man may come sailing out of the sunset to the lands of the Ghiscari. His hair black as night, and his eyes blue as the ocean, his skin a perfected pale complexion.
He will come with a band of warriors much like him, all of them forced from their birthplace, in search of a new place to call home.
It is believed this man from the lands of Sunset will change the fate of Ghiscar forever; some believe for the better, others for worse.

Re: The Odyssey of the Exiles (Closed, requires no rolls)
The young man, sometime after passing by the Shield Islands, took the name Elyas, and decided he hailed from Feastfires.
The crew did not tell him until he was aboard the ship, but they had rescued his father's remains, so that they might not be left to destruction along with their ancestral home.
Elyas decided that they would take the remains with them where they went, and release them upon a land far away.

Re: The Odyssey of the Exiles (Closed, requires no rolls)
The ship curved around the Reach, passing the Whispering Sound without stopping.
The change from green flatland to mountains to desert was quick and interesting to view from the southern coast as they passed along Dorne's southern coast.
They stopped only in a few places along the Dornish coast, only to gather supplies, and away from villages and towns to avoid trouble. A few times they saw strangely dressed riders watching from hills in the distance, and even following their ship.
And so they came to pass by Sunspear, a glorious work of architecture they had never seen before.

Elyas decided to land the ship a bit outside of Sunspear, so he could see the town.
Some men go with him, some stay with the ship.
A small company of Rhoynakim sneak up on the men remaining at the ship, and take them, presumably taking them to Sunspear.
