No borders on campaign minimap?

Playing as the romans, i realized that the minimap down at the bottom left in the campaign map did not have any borders. It was such a solid sea of red Other factions such as carthage have black border lines separating their cities. Is this a bug or something that you have to turn on?

all my factions dont have borders, its probably meant to be like that, i personally like it

Yes, some faction campaigns by default have borders and others don't. I prefer the borders rather than having a single blob of colour for a faction.

If you look in the folder '..../data/_IMPORTANT_STUFF' there are two folders in there

1) Region_borders_not_visible
2) Region_borders_visible

Under each of these folders are a set of 'play_faction' folders. Use these to replace the ones in your game folder.

. Use what exactly to replace what? These and ones are not very clear descriptions.

uhh... i tried doing what you said, replacing the play_rome with all the data and saves with the play_rome folder from the borders visible folder, but it doesnt work. When i get to the main menu, all i can play are custom games and historical battles, even though i enabled rome in the launcher. I even tried merging them, but that didnt have any effect either, as the borders were still not visible. Help?

First thing to try with map changes is to delete the map.rwm files. You can either do this manually or use the launcher options to do this.

It's safe to delete these files as they are created from other files in the data folder if they are not present.

Not sure if that will fix you only being able to play custom and historic battles though....
