The greatest battle I ever fought and won was 700 Goths against 8400 horde Slavs. Can anyone beat that?

Under the patronage of Rhah and brother of eventhorizen.
I actually have two: one battle was in BI as the Saxons, I had 2 Hunters 3 Levy Spearmen 2 Saxon Keel and 1 Saxon Sea Raiders. This army of mine beat 3 full Burgundi hordes that assaulted one of my settlements.
The other was as the Eartern Roman Empire, I had a few ragtag garrison units and some more elite troops (Comititanses) and 1 general. The defeated two full stacks of Sarmation Hordes that were laying siege to Constantinople. The heroic part behind that victory was that as I sallied forth to attck one horde, the other came up as reinforcements behind me. I was surrounded and still kicked their ass.
This 1 guy on totalwar.com forums said he had an epic fight of a few thousand armored elephants against Carthage (As Selucids). He didn't post any pictures but you can imagine how insane that'd be
As for me, I used 1 army of a variety of archers/phalanxers/
cavalry/ and axemen and 1 general and I beat 8 Roman Julii/Brutii and Scipii who surrounded me in Rome. It was pretty sweet
(I was Egypt)
Well in rtr 6.0 gold one time a german full army attacked one of my settlements that had a pincipes with 34 men,a italian spearmen with 50 men,a velite with 20 and a princepes with i think 60 men.(and i had no general in this settlement just a captain. And the town had no walls.)I lost the battle but i killed the german general and about 600 of their men.My units suprisingly never routed, whenever they did they came right back to the fight.
I haven't any pictures to post (as I rarely take screenshots) but I can recall a number of epic battles I've fought in the past.
The one that I think of the most was an engagement involving Macedon Versus SPQR. This was on RTW 1.3 with no mods (Hard/Hard). At the time I had managed to steam roll the Bruti out of Greece and had jumped over into Southern Italy. After taking Croton, Tarentum and Capua I was poised to take Rome itself. I brought up an army consisting almost entirely of archers, light lancers and macedonian cavalry. These units had some basic upgrades and bronze chevron experience (varying from 1 to 3 chevrons). The SPQR force consisting of the entire Roman army, three stacks, two massive ones and the small remaining garrison at Rome. The Units included Hastati, Principes, Velites, Archer Auxilia, Legionary and Roman Cavalry, General's Units, Legionary Cohorts, and LightAuxilia. I'm not certain of the exact Unit count but If I recall I had a full stack myself versus two+ full stacks of the Roman armies. I'd wager, in real numbers the Roman's fielded 32,000 and my Macedonians about 16,000. Bear in mind my army was almost entirely cavalry oriented.
I was on the defensive in this engagement, therefore I took up a position on a hill. I lined up my archers in a long line in front, not only so they could hit the Roman infantry but so I could use them to bait the General's and other Horsemen into chasing them up the hill. My cavalry was placed behind and on the flanks of the Archers. My strategy was pretty sucessful at the outset, many Romans died under a hail of arrows and those that did make it to my lines were destroyed by cavalry. The Roman Horsemen proved to be the biggest threat and I lost a number of men against them. Fortunately my massive superiority in cavalry made crushing the Roman generals not all that difficult and with them out of the way I could roll up the remaining infantry.
The second phase of the battle went in a similar fashion, though in this case it developed more into a battle between divisions of Roman infantry and my cavalry. Please note my army HAD no general units to speak of. As one might expect many of my archers died in battle, and my casualties by the end were not insignificant. Typically I would use one or more horse units to bait Roman legionaries away from their ranks where they could be more convienantly taken in the rear by a surprise charge. In any event the Roman Stacks were annihilated and I suffered casualities on the order of 60%. In real terms I'd say something like 40,000 men died that day and the City was mine.
Anyway I still think that was my greatest triumph to date in RTW.
My greatest ever battle in total war was on Medieval. A crusade of about 1500 men through north Africa from Spain attacked an army of over 4000 in Egypt. It came down to the Egyptian King against my Prince in a one on one fight. I won the battle and luckily I had a big army just behind to keep the crusade going. Ive never had a battle in RTW or BI come close to that. I keep trying though.
I remember I was playing an online game in a 2 on 3 (it was originally 3 on 3 but the 3rd ally dropped because he lagged) so anyways the idea was that me and my ally would quietly await the enemy to attack us (I was seleucid and I have no idea what my ally was apart from a total moron), so anyways we waited for about 5 minutes as our opponents sat on the hill opposite of us and to my annoyance my ally told me he was bored (I wonder what the enemies strategy was cough*cough*) and he promptly decided to attack.
Upon seeing this 2 of the opponents slowly walked down the hill and would attack my ally as soon as he was at the base of the hill (those 2 were roman and pontus i think (something eastern anyways)) they would promptly destroy my foolish ally. I however let the 3rd opponent (A barb faction-I can't remember which) attack me by coming off my hill and inducing him to battle down in the valley so as not to give him any hill bonuses.
Because I knew he would do a cav flank (They always do) I had chosen two units of sycthed chariots before hand to eliminate all cavaly threats as well as 2-3 units of catapharacts. As I expected, he attempted a cavalry flank which I completely annihalated with a unit of scythed cavalry (I kept the other in reserve and my cat's hidden in some trees close to his flank), thus destroying any chances he had of an easy victory.
In the meantime I had been using the arc strategy with phlanax units to effectively destroy him and because of my extra long spear reach I was able to destroy whatever hoplites he had. After I had destroyed his flanking cavalry and the majority of his infantry, I used my cat's to annihalite the rest of his troops (including some peltast cavaly and his general) and managed to gain the upper ground with my cavalry. Since the majority of the other 2 enemies had been infantry, I used my last chariot to mop up any cavalry units they had and sent my infantry on a forced march to link up with my catapharacts, who, while waiting for the phalanax units, would guard the higher ground.
By the time my phalanx units had reached the top of the hill, my enemies had almost reached the top as well (I believe they were tired because they had chased my ally with thier infantry as they didn't have much cavalry) so I immediately set up another arc formation, utilizing the higher ground) and allowed them to attack me. While the 2 infantry lines attacked my own, I set out my general and cat's to attack the left flank of the enemy. The flank, combined with the hill, destroyed the enemies and, ironically, I can thank my idiot of an ally for such a good expierence.
Note: When viewing the battle results my ally was even less spectacular then I described him.
