    Default Development preview of Bavaria

These images are a little old, but I gathered them here for better reference.

Has the back of the helmet been fixed in the meantime? Here's some reference from a documentary:

I can't see your reference. If you point to the problem may be I can fix it, Bavaria is still Work in Progress

I think he is talking about the old helmet made by Quad.

Are you using a new one that you made Steph? With only a single mesh?

Quad uses a mix of the Russian helmet and the Swedish corsican hat.
I tried to make an helmet using only the Corsican hat, but I cannot make a nice visor with only that.
so I'm still using two meshes, but I have modified the corsican hat to have a more correct caterpillar.

I was wondering about a minor detail, and I thought I would bring it up now while the mod is relatively young.

Will there be any plans to add more detail to the equipment of the soldiers? Like attaching an ammo pouch to the cross belts, and in some cases a saber and/or bayonet.

I think it will add a much more detailed appearance to the soldier, like megasalexandros done to his ETW Prussians

I wouldn't mind if the answer is a no, I'm just suggesting some things that might add even more visual depth.

EDIT AGAIN: Might I also suggest making this hussars waist sash brighter or increasing the contrast:

When I made it, I didn't expect the other bright colours to dim it out so much.

My skills are limtied here. I know how to edit existing meshes with Milkshape, but now how to make a new one, or how to remap textures. So I can modify the shape of a crest, move some parts around, change size of plumes... But not create equipment.
So it's not a definitive no: if a reliable 3D modeler and mapper makes equipment, why not. But I can't do it myself.

L'aigle needs to do his beautification pass on the Bavarian to take care of this kind of things. However, it may me the opposite: instead of a brighter belt, it's likely to be a less bright uniform/cords.

I dislike CA approach to have bright piece of clothes!

I meant the lower back part of the helmet, see attached picture. It should be cut off, so that the helmet will have a straight circle form front to back and not this little "neckguard" (which has a noticable gap in the middle anyway.

Ok, I'll check if I corrected it, it shouldn't be a problem.

Just realised something Steph: How come you'r not using the Guard Grenadier Musician that I made

He was probably the hardest Bavarian I made that your using. Actually, the cuffs on the other coats were hard too.

Here are some updates of the Bavarians. I'm working again on them while l'Aigle is busy with the final touch on Prussia.

    Artillery

Guarde du corps with slightly modified helmet (new mesh)

    Chevau leger

    Detail of helmet and gorget

Hussars with rework shako, so the top cocarde looks correct (i.e. it's not simply wait there, where the ridge of the shako shows an ugly relief of the cockade)

    Line grenadiers

    Jager

Besides what Pinarius noticed, i'm afraid i noticed some other things. I'm just gonna point them out only if in the future you guys would like to ammend them, if possible of course.

The visor, doesn't look like a visor per se according to the picture in the link, to me it looks like some sort of extension of the helmet that follows the same line of the helmet with a slight almost unnoticeable degree outwards. The catterpiller reaches up to the upper end of the plated emblem. The back end half of the metal strap between the "visor" and the helmet it looks kinda leatherish. There is a metal pin that holds the plume in its place.

All of this basing myself on the picture of the link.

For what i'm seeing the leather strap it's the part i got confused, i thought it was part of the helmet as an adorn when i saw the helmet in the link provided by Pinarius, which it's on the back of the helmet, yours Prince it's on the front, now i can tell it's the chin strap. Some other detail was cleared; the helmet does have a back visor so there is no need to correct that, as stated by Pinarius. Is it made of leather Prince?, i'd say so and since the pictures provided by Prince look like a helmet used in the period, i'd take that one as a prime example for references.
