Icon4 Open Letter to CA : Make Hotseat avaible!!!

Hi CA workers how are you guys , Im huge fan of Total War games especially MTW 2 and I used to play MTW 2 with my best friend together by using Hotseat. It was the greatest gaming experience ever. We were playing together for hours by using Hotseat. We wanted to play by using Hotseat at ETW,NTW and Shogun 2 but there was no Hotseat in none off them You guys have time more then 1 year!! It is not late to put Hotseat in RTW 2!!!

    Thank you all for reading!!

I would love to see it, but i doubt its gonna happen!

Best we can hope for is improved MPC, where CA really flesh it out, add more players etc!

Not completely sure about what I am going to say, but I think it is still possible to play hotseats in all of their games including NTW, ETW and S2TW. You just do the same as in M2TW and send your save to the next one in line, but I do not see why you want to do that when all of the games above have multiplayer campaigns...

Anyways I agree with you. Now the hotseat campaigns are limited to only 2 players while in hotseats you could have about 15 players. It would not only give us a chance to play with more people, it would also help the activity in the hotseat forum, which I urge everyone to visit!

I've never played outseat, how does it deal with real time battles? Do you have to auto-resolve, or does it do something clever?
Dominion of Dust. A city of sand. Built your world of nothing. So how long did it stand?
A 100 years? Now wasn't it grand? Built your world of nothing. How long did it stand?
What did you think would happen? When did you think it would all fall down?
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Did yourself right, so let's feel grand.
Domain of dust in a land of sand. Now there's nowhere left to stand.

We use autoresolve It is still the most fun feature of the Total War series in my opinion. Fighting a long or against other human players who make intelligent moves and decisions which the AI would not.

Hotseat is when you're playing a turn-based game on a single computer with 2
or more people, so when you end your turn as your faction your friend then does
their turn as their faction & rotates.
More often you'd coop so that it would be fair to control battles, but you could command battle
I THINK only as the attacker, I've never tried fighting another human player though.

I believe Jazx is referring to Medieval Kingdoms where you didn't have to shuffle
game saves. I don't believe there's any way to hotseat ever since Empire as you can't change
your faction in a save game like EU3.

I'd really love that feature back, me & my brothers & friends would play plenty of hotseat, I don't
understand why it was gotten rid of unless they saw it as wasted effort for the majority of people..

Multiplayer Campaing is good but it can't replace the hotseat mod. With hotseat you can play with your brother, with your real life friends WHO are sitting next to you. But if you are using Multiplayer Campaing then people you have to play NEEDS to have the game. A lot of people meet with MTW 2 in my house when we played hotseat mod together. Other then that they would not buy the game if I say "look there is a game called MTW 2 its very good buy it so we can play multiplayer."

CA developers have a lot of time to finish the game until 2013 December. It wouldn't take much time to put hotseat on it also I think. It would be a very good update which would satisfy many of the fans of TW games.

I'm referring to Medieval Total War 2. I didn't try the Kingdoms expansion but probably both of their hotseats are same.

I agree, hotseat could be included. However if there's a multiplayer campaign with more than 2 players that allow us to fight the battles in real time instead of autoresolving them I won't complain (I know we can fight them on the hotseat campaigns, but it's just against the AI).
