Default Wedding of Alerie Hightower and Nyle Baratheon

The arrangaments were made and the ravens were sent to all over Westeros for the wedding of Allister Hightower's beloved daughter and Alwin Baratheon's heir. The wedding guests should gather at Storm's End, and the feast should be served in the great hall where over five hundred people cold eat and drink at the same time. Jugglers and magicians would be summoned from the land of Essos and one of the royal cooks would prepare the main dishes.

A large party arrives in Storm's End from Riverrun, flying the leaping trout of House Tully. At the head of the party was Lord Antin himself, along with his wife, Lady Lyra, and two of his children - his eldest daughter, the beautiful Emelyn, and his son and heir, Edwin.

The silent and swift Lord Gawin Corbray arrived. He was dressed in a black garb with a hood, and hanging at his side was Lady Forlorn. Next to him walked Lord Syl Corbray, Gawin's heir. He was dressed in a red doublet with a white cloak, which had the Corbray sigil on it. Behind these two were walking the household guards, a party of just 6 men.

The royal party arrives, due to the Baratheons being distant kin, and the Hightower's being friends.

The Hightowers had been present at Storm's End for a few days now. They had come to prepare and celebrate the wedding of their second daughter to the heir of Storm's End. The parents where proud, that he had been able to make such a fine match for their daughter. This however, hadn't been competly possible without the bride herself. Long Allister had thought that Alerie would make a old maid. Far too serious he found her to his own liking. But apparently, Nyle Baratheon didn't seem to agree. The siblings of the bride, and their sister-in-law where also present.
Lord Allister walked around like the proud lord he was. Desmera Hightower, his wife, took the moment to speak with the king. "Your grace." she said and bowed for him. "I am pleased to hear that your daughter will be staying with us. My little one will be very happy to have such an excellent playmate."

Alysanne quickly spotted her friend Emelyn Tully and went over to her, and made a quick bow. "Lady Tully; how good of you all to come. I told you, the little one's are catching up with us."

ooc: Gandalf, this seemed to me like a good occasion to bring Dany with the hightowers to Oldtown after the party. Do you agree? xD

    He smiled and nodded.
My daughter, Dany will surely enjoy Oldtown.

Emelyn smiled as Alysanne walked over. "It seems you were right, Lady Hightower. It won't be long before my younger sister is married to Moryn Tyrell."

The steward walks into the hall. "Lord Ryon Allyrion, High Lord of Vaith, Lord of Godsgrace, Shield of Sunspear."
The young lord strides into the hall. Dressed in a handsome tunic in the black, red, and gold of his House he is dark of hair and eye, with the olive skin typical of many Dornishmen. He does his best to ignore the pointed stares of the Stormlanders and Reachmen around him. He walks towards the King and goes to one knee.
"Your Grace, My Lord Baratheon, My Lord Hightower; I bring greetings from Prince Mors Martell of Dorne. He is detained with affairs of state, and so asked me to attend this happy event in his stead, poor substitute that I am. Prince Mors wishes to make it known that as we in Dorne shall soon be a part of this family of Six Kingdoms, we also share in the joy of this union. And, even though we Dornishmen have not always seen eye-to-eye with our neighbours in The Reach or here in the Stormlands we are willing to make the first gesture. To turn the page of history and start afresh once more. I am here to represent my Prince, my Princedom, and all the hopes of Dorne that we shall live together as one family in peace and prosperity."

"Thank you, your Grace." Ryon replied. 'Well he certainly looks the part of a King!' He thinks 'It is certainly hard to tell what is going on behind those eyes of his.' "I should greet the bride and groom Your Grace, and add my own wishes for there happiness to those of My Prince. If you will excuse me?"

"Thank you, Your Grace." Ryon bowed and walked toward the bride and groom to offer his best wishes and also to follow his Princes instructions. He remembered those same instructions now.'Watch and learn. If we are to join this Kingdom then it will not be as merely another vassal Lord, we will wield real power. But to do that we will require information, Lord Allyrion. So you will attend this wedding, and possibly many like them, and you will learn things that may not be revealed to a Martell. Things that may help Dorne keep some shred of independence once the children are married. Watch and learn, then return to me.'

The great hall has never been that much crowded before. Alwin came across squires, maids, servants on his every step. Hundreds of bottles of wine were served altough the actual wedding ceremony hadn't started yet. There were five huge dining tables inside the room that can hold a hundred people each. The tables filled only a half of the hall, in the rest were jugglers, magicians and entertainers from the exotic lands of the east and south; and some knights, lords and squires that were afoot. Most of them were drunk and some danced, some told dirty jokes and got laughters from their drunk friends.

There was a seat prepeared for the King and a table for the royal family and close relatives. Near them was the table of House Baratheon, where Lord Alwin and his family sit. And next to them were the Hightowers. The groom and the bride sitted between those tables on a throne-like seat.

The Most Devout Septon of Storm's End rang the bell and the wedding ceremony started at last. He waited for the guests to return to their seats at the tables and demanded silence with his old eyes. He started his speech :

"Today, we are here to unite the most noble houses Baratheon and Hightower by wedding this young couple to each other."

His voice echoed from the old walls of the hall. He gave a traditional speech about the holiness of the marriage, prayed for the groom and the bride's lives and begged the Seven to forgive their sins. The bride and the groom moved to the Septon and bend their knees. He finished the prayer with a louder voice than before :

"In the name of the Seven and the witnessing of the people of this hall, I now pronounce you man and wife. May the Father judge you right, may the Mother Above keep their love warm, may the Warrior protect their lives, may the Maiden keep them as beautiful as they are now, may the Smith make them hardworking at all times and may the Crone guide them to rest of their lives."

After the last words of the Septon, Nyle put his Baratheon cape onto his wife's shoulders. Tears held onto his eyes and he thought he had never felt so excited, and surprisingly, scared. He was truly a grown man now, with a wife to love and a family to protect. He'd have children of his own blood who'd call him father. He looked at his father on his seat. Alwin Baratheon was smiling and applausing like the rest of the crowd. And Nyle saw something that he had seen scarcely before, tenderness and symphathy on his father's eyes.

It was not only Nyle who could have seen thing in his fathers eyes. If Alerie had looked to lord Allister, she would have seen that he was proud of her. In fact, he had never been so proud with her as today, now he saw her dressed in the Baratheon Cloak. What a fine match!

But when the heart of Allister was filled with pride, the heart of Alerie was filled with joy and happiness. She was looking happily around and enjoyed herself immensely. This day would be hers and she had decided to enjoy it. She lay her hand over the handrest of the chair and took the hand of her husband. She was a married woman now; and he was her husband. They where one in the eyes of Gods and men. She knew in her heart that she had taken a good husband; one who was sensible, wise and caring. Others maybe younger, but youth never lasted. She looked at him with a smile.

With the events taking place in the Reach, the Tyrells had to excuse themselves from all social events, including the wedding of relatives to both Mina's husband and Victarion's wife.

They sent their regards and apologies, as well as a fine dark stallion from Lord Willas's stables, a gift for the groom, and a chestnut mare for the bride.

Ryon Allyrion had made note of the absence of any Tyrell presence. It was with some interest that he noticed the absence Devan Baratheon. Maybe the man had been taken ill? Allyrion carefully set these facts aside in his mind. Perhaps they would provide useful information to his Prince in the future.
