Do you think that the armies of Egypt and Parthia will look a lot more accurate this time around? Looking back on it I never like playing as Parthia money problems aside, because the units looked so bad. As for Egypt the armies just looked out of place.

I hope that when CA finally get around to showing us screenshots of some of the other factions they can show us Egypt first. That way we can have as much time as possible to about it if anything is wrong.

Well they've said a thousand times that the Egyptian units in RII:TW will ACTUALLY be Ptolemaic this time, unlike the dynastic units of RTW 8 years ago.

P.S No one is gonna make me start saying TW:RII, because that's stupid.

That said, I do sincerely hope we see a good lot of chariots in this installment, cus chariots are kick-arse

Well they've said a thousand times that the Egyptian units in RII:TW will ACTUALLY be Ptolemaic this time, unlike the dynastic units of RTW 8 years ago.

CA has actually only stated Egypt will get a "historical twist". Knowing them, it probably means it will have half the mummy returns, half ptolemaic units. Which I think is good because it gives them variation from all the other hellenic cultures, accurate or not. Even those chariots you love would be included then. :-)

If Rome gets the chance to choose between keeping the Republic or going Empire (probably becomes a Kingdom again) then it make sense that the Egyptians has the options to rebel from the Ptolemaic, revert back to the old way and disband all the greek influence armies.

They said that they will get the unit roster appropriate for the Ptolemaics...for me this is a pretty clear statement.

Yes, a lighthearted easter egg will ruin the game.

Absolutely, in my opinion. Lightheartedness does not blend well with a game that depicts warfare. And customizable units is nothing I care for or want in these games.

If you want comic relief, why not turn off the game and watch a comedy? Is humour such an intrinsic desire that you must lobby CA for it? I just want to know the thought processes behind these posts.

Whether you like it or not, humor has been part of the Total War series since the beginning, from Assassination videos to Character traits, and in-game script.

If you don't like Humor, good for you, but its been a part of TW, and removing it is sabotaging a withstanding element in the series.

Let's not forget we are playing a game, the thought that an Easter Egg will ruin it is absurd.

It is confirmed that Egyptian units will be historical accurate. Probably Parthian units will be accurate also.
