Ultras EDU - MOS
just thought id share my EDU. i found that the elite units in TATW didnt last long enough for me and it annoyed me for example that fountain guard can be killed by milita although they will win they take too many casualtys imo, though thats not the only changes my edu makes.
mostly elite units have had and extra HP added to increase survivability.
off the top of my head faction changes include
- Uruk and goblin bodyguard have 2hp and last much longer making it more enjoyable, fear not, they die fast enough like before just they put a good fight showing that they are the best of the crop
- fountain guard, i believe also swan knights footmen have +1 hp
- mirkwood and elven foot archer bodyguard HP increased.
- the later elven elites, some have had +1hp
- Loke - flag - rim for rhun hp increased. made few other later easterlings +1 hp
- dwarves have had quite a few units have +1 hp such as iron guard and dragonslayers and as a result last longer against archer foes and are definatly a challenge to dismantle from castles later on in the game.
- heroes bodyguard HP increased by one if they already havent been done in vanilla/mos, and are a foot unit
no cavalry units or trolls have had HP increased since they are powerful enough.
probably other possible changes but the above are off the top of my head.
chnages are tiny, but seriosuly you will be shocked the difference it makes! boromirs bodyguard no longer gets decimated now after 10 seconds in a fight, and silvan elves are awesome to fight and play as. no more charging into uruk/goblin bodyguards and routing the entire army after one strike, you have to fight the hard way now or make mulitple back charges risking the ai deploying units to stop your attacking the flanks of the bodyguard. Also units still die as expected, ie uruk bodyguard can still be killed by a rohan bodyguard charge or even normal charge just they need multiple hits and the cavalry cant be left in combat. fountain guard can still die from masses of orcs as usual but take many many down with them as you would generally imagine them to be.
small but sweet.
back up your Export_descr_unit and replace with mine

Interesting changes made.. (though I personally don't like the changes being a die hard believer that Real-Combat -RC- is perfect as-is and imo units with more than 1 HP in RC get OP fast
)

lol i agree, but shouldnt for example fountain guard BE op? i can understand in RC though
they do still die however with this edu, just a bit more epically and capable of taking many with them!
