    Default Wales and Ireland

Is there any way to add Wales and Ireland to the campaign?

I've already added Sweden by installing the Baltic sub-mod and that made Scandinavia a lot more interesting. I thought that by adding Wales and Ireland it would make for a more interesting campaign on the British Isles.

Nah, theres no Ireland and Wales submod Yet anyway. Dunno why nobody has done it

    nb4imasked, im on dial up

I will say though, I dont think Wales is viable sadly... They'd probably get killed in the first five turns or something. Only one territory. Ireland could be split into three. Then again, probably could make Wales into at least two territories *shrugs*

Ireland was in an earlier version.

There are Britannia specific mods though, like improved versions of the Britannia campaign from Kingdoms. Those are worth a punt.

War of the West which is a Mod under development, will include Wales and Ireland and there is a Demo, very very good, strongly recommend checking it out

There's a problem here - there are only two remaining faction slots in SS 6.4 in its released form, and you've added one in already; you'll have to make your mind up, it's Wales or Ireland and not both.

It'd have to be a specialised submod since many of the major submods aim to make improvements across the board, which means any new factions are usually non-Catholic due to Western Europe being fairly well-represented already. Doesn't mean someone shouldn't make such a submod, we all have our own tastes.

Yeah, if I didnt have dial up(my internet is very slow so um, any modding done by me would be..extremely slow. And I doubt I'd be able to work with a team because of it, unless it was just me telling others what to do over IM XD), I'd give it a go

Personally, I'd get rid of the Timurids, and delete redundant units...think that'd free up room for Ireland and Wales, and allow Sweden from Battle of the Baltic(get the two mods to work together, or get permission from Caesar to put Sweden in. Because I LOVE SWEDEN I WANT A SWEDISH IRISH ALLIANCE OF ENGLAND DESTRUCTION. WALES CAN GO HIDE WITH SCOTLAND)

And yeah, speicialized, but pfft, as best as I can tell, SS is a bit modular, so cant you choose what mod goes in where?

That's what I meant - it wouldn't happen in one of the major submods, so it'd have to be by someone with an interest in adding these particular factions in.

I meant in terms of software, I can choose in the SS launcher what campaign and AI I want, so I assume its possible to make it so that if I could play Ireland+Wales Mod, then turn it off and play the standard campaign with the Timurids?

And just to say, if I was making a mod for this, or advising anyone making one(please let there be some renegade Ireland loving and SS loving modder out there...), I'd try to make the Irish and Welsh factions unique. Not just the vanilla units seen in the Britannia campaign. Like, no need to go crazy and make them more unique than any other faction, but enough And of course, make them work in gameplay terms up to the end of the game Special pikemen in the end game, and maybe Wardogs could be a special unit(dont know if M2 supports them though)

Most likely, but the set-up programme is something I haven't touched as far as modding goes. The set-up uses special subfolders that contain the different campaign files, and places them in the various data subfolders when activated. The base files are always there and ready to be swapped around when the player wants to change their settings.

Unless it's on the Kingdom's Britannia Campaign map, i think it'll be way too crowded in the British Isles for there to be 4 factions there, I do think that perhaps the Irish Professional soldiers from the vanilla expansion should be integrated into the Scottish roster as they were all from the same ancestory and if Mel Gibson doesn't lie(...), they both fought hated the Brittish

Scotland gets Calviermen both mounted and dismounted IIRC, they are from the Irish roster.

I can see why Ireland and Wales would be a nice addition - at the moment the English can stomp the Scottish in only a few turns, especially with the forces initially present in the 1220 campaign. Once the English take the British Isles they are practically invincible.
