Default Adoption and man of the hour events

Something thats been bothering me, does anybody know what system the game uses to decide who the "father"? or benefactor is the proper term i think

Reason being if you are trying to keep the royal family "clean" as in only people with the capet name as france, but dont mind if say an uncle or cousin adopts, is there any way to know?

Hmm, well I don't know how the system decides, someone else might. To me it always seemed random as all hell haha

BUT, I do know how to figure out who the benefactor is! On the top of that message window you get for adoptions or Man of the Hour, it will list the Benefactor up there. So then you get their name and look in the family tree to see who it is. Cause yeah I stay away from adoptions in the main bloodline, but if some random family dude wants to adopt or promote a general, I'm all for that!

And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing,
to trade ALL the days from this day to that, for ONE chance, JUST ONE CHANCE!
to come back here and tell our enemies, that they may take our lives...
...but they'll never take OUR FREEDOM!!!

I think it says who is the benefactor on the title when the even comes up, ussualy it is the FL or FH, so that wont work well with what you are trying to accomplish here(keep the main line intact).

THe benefactor will be the father of the newcomer. In the "Man of Hour" event, you will never actually know who will be the father. Often it is the King.

Anyway... Is there anyway to change heirs in this mod? ;/ I really need generals but still i want a clean bloodline!!!!

For who the "man of hour" and adoption events goes to...

If it doesnt say at the top who the new generals father will be, try clicking on the little square in the upper right corner of the announcment box to put it on hold... then check your family tree. See if your leader already has four kids and if your hier does (if you dont remember).

If leader already has had 4 kids, the new guy is going to the hier.

Then go back to your "new messeges" on the left and decide if you want to inject this new guy into your family.
