Just in case some of you saw the splitsecond in which my post said ''delete'', I edited it again and it's now just a bunch of questions aimed at Severus.

Just wanted everyone to know: No more debates on who leads campaigns in the Senate.

With the Triumvirs, they can appoint themselves or appoint anyone they see fit to lead campaigns or serve as deputy commanders. If you wanna be well known in a certain theater or gain some good military experience, buddy up with a Triumvir and earn their favor. Severus and Aquila have the best opportunities for now (Gauls and Germans for Severus. Dacian, Scythians and Eastern kingdoms for Aquila.)

I don't understand how after so much talking the Gallic war is still at a stand still.

No one has posted the battle set up. I am ready to do the Gallic side, but I need knowledge of the battle map. Also, is anyone going to answer in the Gallic Federation thread??

Well, this game is dying rather quickly. In fact I'm considering a restart either in the early imperial or early Republic era.

Not gonna lie... A reset to 100 BC again with same core.. OR earlier. I do not support the idea of Imperial..

We should run an activity check to see whose still with us first..

I have always been a little bitter over starting in 85 BC, 15 years behind some of the core guys like Sev, Lucius, Ok, Stig, etc.

I accomplished alot in 11 years, but damn if I had been playing since the start holy damn I'd be out of control by now

No, I'm not restarting in the same era. We've had three episodes of people breaking down and rage quitting the second something doesn't go their way in game. Honestly its ruined any hope I had of a fun revolution era game.

I have to agree with this. We have already had two restarts in this Late Republic era. Its time for a new setting...whether that be early republic (which would be restrictive in terms of classes seeing as the patricians would be dominating the Republic and the Plebs would be struggling to gain power) or the early empire/Principate (Exactly what time, not sure yet).

Though I disagree with quitting over bitterness, I find Republican Rome far more entertaining.. Perhaps it's the equality involved. But I don't want to run into anything like happened in Mauritania in the closing 80's where Sev said we exceeded our boundaries and halted the expansion (as was the primary reason for the first Mauritania war coming to a loss).

At the same time early Republican or even mid Republican would be difficult to play because wars oft lasted long long periods of time some a quarter of a century in length... I just think any reset too far back or in Imperial era would do more harm than good. Though I support a reset, it's only for Republican era and recent... To far ahead and too far back will do more harm than good. People like the different atmosphere this game provides like a council running things. Having to deal with an emperor, or a principate is a huge turn off for veteran players and even new comers who are unfairly disadvantaged in terms of how far behind they are financially and politically. Like a union between the 3 most veteran and influential members of the game is a huge turn off... Now if Sev and Ok had of been at each other necks. That would be far more interesting instead of aligning for keeping it simplistic lol. I've accepted the principate and I've started at lvl 5 structure and rp for it. Not my fault nobody is interested in RPing it... But just as I start to gain some influence in this games pathetic resistance (doesn't help now that Rapture effectively quit), but I'd rather see it stay the current course or have a reset back no more than 50 years... Just my opinion

Don't expect to conquer anything outside of Italy if we go Early Republic. Furthermore you just have no understanding of the principate if you consider it a strictly autocratic state of government.

Explain how that would be a problem.

Not much more harm can be done. Half the people have quit, none of the moderators are doing the work they're supposed to be doing, and we are not restarting in the same era.

Yeah, maybe if everyone would let the game play out instead of complaining and quitting every time something didn't go their way in a pvp format we'd get to see a real civil war. Anyone who thinks a situation with three triumvirs will involve peace and harmony knows less than nothing about Roman politics. People are far too willing to simply throw in the towel than actually try to oppose anything. Then of course perhaps the few people that are capable of taking a hit in game without constantly whining about it but themselves on a collision course at the expense of the Senate and then the game falls to hell. Forgive me if I'm a little less than excited about restarting from square 1 for the third time, building myself up over months, only to have the entire game shot down by relative newcomers complaining that the people who have been playing for months more than them are too advanced.

The Senate, right now, could easily cause a conflict between triumvirs, weaken all three, and then overthrow them with some work. But the situation changes slightly to take the power away after a colossal amount of work on the part of us three and everyone moans about it and quits. I'm sick of putting work in and having it come to naught because nobody wants to play unless they're winning.

We're not even close to the principate.

I'm not letting you copy/paste the TRS rules for your late Roman RPG. Sorry.
