"Wars of the East" DLC maybe?

I was thinking, maybe CA could make a DLC about Rome's battles in the East, and the factions and such. Tell me what you think

Too much details to be just a DLC. A East Asia campaign needs to be a whole new game on its own.

I would like to see a lot of downloadable campaigns, such as the rise of rome, greek & persion wars map, possible another alexander the great campaign, a britania campaign and a barbarian invasion campaign. The scope and potential for this game and it's expansion packs is phenomenal. Would be happy to pay for addittional campaigns and expansion packs showing different zones and eras.

I think they should sell improved artificial intelligent pre-order packs and if you happened to think the game would of sucked so you didn't pre-order they can sell these packs 2 years after release for an exclusive price of $99.99.

I'd prefer a barbarian invasion style dlc like we had last time. That, or perhaps a greek focused war. The east would involve too many new elements to be viable as a DLC.

The east deserves its own game.

What exactly are you talking about?
The eastern enemies of the Roman Empire were in Rome1 already. You had Seleucids, Pontos, Armenia and Parthia as factions there.

Well, western Asian history (Near and Middle East) as well as North African history has always been part of European history too.

dlc are the only expansions CA ever does, an entirely different campaign in a different year and with different factions has nothing to do with an expansion, thats basically a CA mod

Depends what you mean with Asia. Persia/The near east? Yes. East Asia, no. With the focus on Rome? No. With attention for the rich diversity featuring the Seleucids, Parthians, Armenians, Indians, Ptolemies, Jews, etc.? Yes!
Is that likely to get released? ...Sadly not

A Hellenistic DLC with the Mauryan Empire or something like that would be nice.

To be more specific, What I had in mind was not just a rome centered dlc, but having a map with most of the middle east and india. Rome could be like the Mongols in M2TW, just something that invades parthia.

I just can't understand where these masochistic requests are comming from
to ask for paying extra money for something which could/should already
be included in the original game.

R2TW from what i've read will be a grand campaign and thus things like
war in the east/west/south/north should be covered right from the beginning.

I would be very disappointed if this game has to be played like the Alexander
expansion of RTW and not like RTW vanilla.

Requests like this thread are just feeding CA with ideas on how to make more
money out of this game and also giving them more space to not release a
full game right from the start.

It's like: "hey guys - stop working on the eastern factions - while reading
through some threads at TWC i figured out they are willing to pay extra money
if we release them later on as DLC - let's go for a beer or maybe two instead".

*not trying to implement that the guys at CA are going to drink beer instead of
working on R2TW - i hope you get my point*

@CA - please include those eastern factions and wars already in R2TW vanilla.
