Resolution won't go back
Okay, so I run my laptop at a high resolution and while I was writing an essay a command32 prompt popped up like it was running something then it said Asus was performing an automatic update and installing Nvidia drivers. Well it changed my resolution to 800x600 before restarting my computer. Aside from that pissing me off because I deliberately turned off auto-updates for that very reason (almost lost my damn essay) when it did restart it doesn't give me the same resolution options. Now the highest one is 1280x800 and I'm positive that's not the setting I had before. So... wtf?

Reinstall your graphics drivers. Never do automatic driver updates for internal hardware. Go to Control Panel>Add Remove Programs and uninstall anything that says Nvidia. Then, go to Nvidia's website, find your chipset, and manually download and reinstall the drivers.
