James was on a weekend in London when he sees the bounty for Fisher.
Somehow something about that sounds familiar. The picture of the werewolf striking a cord with James. Frowning to himself he wonders why it does. His familiarity with the wizarding world hardly being high.
Then it strikes him, it was the one battling the auror years ago. When he first learned of the wizarding world and wands in general. He had escaped? And hurt innocent children? A picture of Evie and a few of the Ravenclaws forms in his mind. Perhaps he should check the spot where that duel occurred, just in case.
Pulling his wand out he looks around the area carefully. Then casts a few silent spells. Homenum Revelio along with a Disillusionment Charm (i am proffcient at both). He carefully looks around and slowly approaches the noises in the distance.
His first spell gives him nothing but a faint reading (?) and the second makes him look like a shimmer in the air. As he approaches the noises in the distance his gaze turns up in the sky and for the first time he notices it to be a night without a cloud in the sky and a perfect full moon...
So definitely something there then. James thinks as he gets a reading on someone being nearby. Noticing the full moon he thinks he needs to be more careful. Hmm... a spell to reduce smell. could be useful, wouldn't do to get ambushed by the werewolf. Not able to think of anything, he looks each and every way, staying out in the open, to give himself a chance to react should something attack. Slowly he approaches closer.
As he gets closer he notices that the noise is coming from behind a bush. The noises sound very animal and dangerous and in order to get close enough to see what was causing them he would need to go through the bushes making a lot of sound.
ooc; thanks bonez, i try and be really cautious and safe, but you want me to go into the weird sounding bush, lol
ic; James slowly circles around the bush, checking every angle for the safest way to approach. Then silently casting Fianto Duri between himself and the bush points his wand at it and cry's
The spell is successful and from the bush he hears a weird sort of whimpering sound before what looks like a weird wolf with a bloody snout bursts out of the bush looking scared. When the water ends the wolf looks and smells for the source of it.
James keeps tries a silent freezing charm hopeful that the longer he stays undetected, the more time he has to find something to capture the werewolf. He hopes that freezing the water on the werewolfs fur will freeze it in place.
The spell hits the werewolf and the water turns to a sheet of ice. Unfortunatly the ice is very thin and the werewolf breaks it with rather ease. It then notices where the last spell came from in a general direction and begins to charge.
The spell flies out of James' wand and hits the werewolf in the back right leg causing it to come crashing to the ground a foot from the invisible barrier James created earlier. The werewolf is phased by this but tries to get up off the ground. It is then that it realises it has no more bones in that leg.
With a wave James casts exepelliarus. Just in case the werewolf was carrying a wand, then casts a Hover charm. He will use this to bring the werewolf in.
The barrier is up but the will power needed is to much for both the Hover Charm and the Patronus so the werewolf falls and lands on its three legs. It charges only to meet the barrier. The barrier stops it but the werewolf keeps pushing, and pushing trying to get past the barrier.
James shrugs slightly, having expected the hover charm to give away at some point. Casting Colloshoo he hopes it will slow the werewolf down enough he'll be unable to push at the barrier.
ooc; i really wish i had the proficiency for stupify.
