Dueling Club - extra carricular activity.

James has organised the duelling club here. Anyone who wishes extra practical practice may simply arrive and will be paired up. All duels are supervised, and so noone will get to badly hurt. Most spells are allowed, though fatal, and insane spells will be stopped by the teachers.

rp wise, these will be conducted as actual fights, i'll do the rolls and so forth. Anyone who wants want just post.

Lance appears. He looks around for a partner. Duels are the perfect way to let out the feeling of helplessness and biterness he has.

Atticus arrived at the Great Hall in a throng of first years. If this continued, he wouldn't have much of a challenge. The platform was assembled as it had been the previous years of the club's existence, and professors were already milling about the perimeter. Severus approached Elvric and extended his hand.

"Thank you for setting this up again, professor. There's been a lot of interest generated this year in it."

Violeta arrives and stays to the side, watching the students pair up.

ooc; rp wise it's like they are seperate, so each duel is done individually. (thus me or m_somenumber can step in when we like) but for posting purposes, just go for it once i've given you an opponent. Else we will be here forever waiting for each duel to finish.

Aaron walked into the room, standing at a corner, not knowing what's happening.

Lance quuckly lets off his own spells. "Furnunculus!" He yells. He then follows it up with "impedimenta!"

Atticus nodded and moved to take his spot on the dueling platform. Other pairs were already warming up in other areas of the Great Hall. Atticus slowly drew his wand as he walked to the far end. He faced Nigel and for the first time noticed what a good looking lad he was. He looked almost vulnerable, afraid. Atticus bowed to his opponent and then readied himself. After several moments he launched into his first attack

"Impedimenta!"

ooc; duel rules are one spell at a time, unless they are combined for a specific result (which is beyond your proficiency at the moment.) since you both used two spells though, i'll treat its i'll act it out.

Both cast their spells at each other. Lio casting Immobilus and Lance using Furnunculus. Lio's eager and urgent spell is cast wide and misses lance by a large margin, while Lance's attempt hits Lio square. Its not the strongest spell however, and Lio suffers three boils. Two on his face, and one on his hand.

Neither wait, and both cast again. Lio's Averte Statum knocking Lance over, and Lances impedimenta causing Lio to trip over. Both find themselves lying flat. Lio is narrowly worse off, though the boils are hardly noticable.

Nigel stood at the other side of the dueling platform and preformed his first spells aswell, trying to do what he was unsuccessful with earlier in DADA.

Lance quickly gets up. He is not satisfied with his first curse so tries again. "Furnunculus" he whispers flicking his wand quickly at Lio.

Evie forced herself to enter, her fight with her timid nature visible to all. She walked over to James who she considered a friend and stood there. IT helped a lot as she adjusted to all the people in the room.
