How did I not find this earlier? I saw your comment in my snaps and immediately rushed here, I couldn't believe I thought you didn't have a library of your own

Your avatars look good (perhaps it's time to change back to the non-Christmas one?)

I like the edited screenshots very much (except for the cursed spiders), in particular I loved the following: The shot of the elves with torches in a cave/tunnel, the GPOTY 2017 runner up, GPOTW 53, GPOTW 54 and GPOTW 60. The Third Age general portraits are also of a very high quality, and I love the 'messing around with Lotr fonts and hobbitish style' section.

    Great stuff!

Edit: See now I feel like a fool, I know why I didn't notice this earlier...this isn't in the POTW forum! Silly me, and now I shall devote the next few hours admiring the other part of the Artist's Stuido that I've neglected.

Nah, I'm still in quite good (christmas) mood!

It's easy to miss. Many years ago it was much more interesting place and inspired me trying to do something myself too.

Shame that the GPOTW 111 is slightly too dark. I like pretty much your logo

Nice logo, maybe just try a slightly less yellow, but more golden hue on the letters

It depends a lot on the screen, so it's hard to nail. But it's inside a mountain anyways!

I like it as it is. In my opinion it fits well with the sun symbol. I don't think I even have the .psd any more!

    My submission.

It's been a hell of a ride trying to nail down the colours and brightness. I'm abusolutely not sure how you see this because it looks different on every bloody screen.
In my intention it should be dim in the sides, so you would barely able to tell where the land ends and water starts.

    I like the idea

You can play with the light by adding a adjustment layer. Choose Exposure. From the setting window, you can adjust 3 parameters. I'd recommend to change the Exposure and the Gamma Correction. I don't think that the Offset will do anything. Hope it helps

    Me too!

Thanks for the tip. I think you didn't get my point. It looks alright for me here. But does it look so for you - as I described on my last sentence?

Aye, I think it's a bit too dark too.

I'd rather it'd be a bit too dark for you than a bit too bright tbh.

I can show you a couple dev versions that are too bright. The background just gets littered.

A little update to cover the things I did since the last one.

The last batch of new portraits that made it into DCI: Last Alliance Public Beta:

Old versions have been made for Numenorean generals too.

    Birthday banner for Veteraan:

Replaced Bilbo Baggins text with Veteraan in a similarish font. Didn't put too much effort to it but I thought it looked immersive enough.

I compiled this model for FRoGS from the works of others but since I allowed DaC to use it some years ago, I figured I could just aswell feature it here. And I'm showing it because I made the face texture for it myself which is the first time for me. This is the battle model for Barliman Butterbur. The face texture was created from the custom portrait I made for him which took hours and hours. I don't intend to make the portrait public just jet, though. And it all started because I wanted to make him a portrait where he's more self-aware and doesn't look goofy. The film does not give us such a look, so I had to build it myself but that's a story for another time.
