since empire I cannot motivate myself to play the newer TW games, I think they dropped the ball years ago.

haha thats what Im thinking too, with all their DLC's crap I just stopped supporting them, hell I havnt even been here since august 2011. But I love the roman age so im interesting in Rome 2.
    Oh and also .

Been a loyal fan to EB though and Im sure EB 2 will be amazing!

actually, Personally I Was pretty much unimpressed in RTW2 just by looking at the trailers, the screenshots, I Don't like judging at covers but just looking at how unrealistic some of those soldiers looked like I pretty much lost alot of interest in it, most definitely though im getting it

Do you mean Rome 2? Because from what I have seen the soldiers are pretty accurate.

check the trailer, you could see the clone armies in 0:15

Clone armies won't be in the release. There will be (according to CA posts) more variety in units than in any previous TW game. It's still pre-alpha you know

Clone armies are one thing, total lack of realism in diversity, etc. Historical accuracy is another thing (though partially related). For example I don't think bobbin is referring to to the quality of the skins or the lack of realistic variety -- which I agree is extremely poor, but rather the particulars of the weapons and equipment depicted for the time, ie the kinds of units used by those forces. But keep in mind those screens are "pre-alpha" so they keep reminding, so even the clone aspects will likely be diminished before release.

IMHO the only reason why I got interested about Total War just a few months ago was mods. If it wan't for the mods from M2TW and RTW then I would've just went back to playing other games and trying out MTW and Shogun I.

To me the mod will go unnoticed as I will be playing and participating in Rome 2 official multiplayer tournaments, as it happened with medieval 2 total war.

And I'll be having fun in the immersion of this mod. Reading every tid bit of info, planing my armies, roleplaying... just gazing in awe at the battles... Yes, I will play EB2 and I know I will enjoy it, but, of course, I can't play it 24/7, no, at times, I won't start the EB2 exe., instead I shall do something else, maybe, play Rome 2 and it's campaign which I think will be enjoyable as well. Also some multiplayer as well....

    WAIT WAHT?!?!?

WE CAN PLAY THIS MOD AND ROME2? WE CAN CHOOSE BOTH?!?!?!?

I THOUGHT THE WORLD WAS BASED ON ABSOLUTES: BLACK AND WHITE, NO GREY!!!!

This is too much for my brain, I really can't believe this.

I don't get this at all. EB2 isn't meant for the sort of people who will ignore it to play Rome 2. It's meant for the same fanbase EB1 had, and most of them still haven't stopped playing it. Honestly some people on here must be really stupid if they think no one's going to play it

I am wondering if RTWII will be as historical accurate as EB... hmmm somehow I doubt it...

don't worry there's already a mod in planning for that and that teams seems pretty pious about realism and historical accuracy.
