Is their a specific thread where i can ask some questions about a computer running this game or is here?
if it is here is my question just in case
Hi i am thinking about buying a laptop (i know desktops are better but i want the portability)
so here are the specs that i think affect gaming
SagerNP9150
Ram 12gb
AMD Radeon HD 7970M (2048MB) GDDR5 DX11 [User Upgradeable] (SKU - S3R155)
3rd Generation Intel® Ivy Bridge Core™ i7-3610QM (2.3GHz - 3.3GHz, 6MB Intel® Smart Cache, 45W Max TDP)
screen size is 15.6"
Ow and i have an additional question, what in a computer makes the game run well(not talking graphics talking lag ect.) because im pretty sure the graphic card can run Shogun 2 but can intel i7 ect make it smooth?

It would be able to handle the game pretty good but there are two things to look out for.
Heat is a killer and this game will be a serious stress test without adequate ventilation.
Your battery life will be very short playing on it.

alright but ill probably be playing it with a charger anyways but can the heat of the laptop make the game crash/lag?

It can. More than anything just be aware it can happen.

Pretty much everything ultra and some special options, maybe keep aa down though and will run fine

Keep the AMD 7970. It's a better card.
It's also this year's. the 675 is last year's.

To me, it would be.
It's your decision, though.
If they have the 680M and cheaper than the 7970, it would be a good alternative.

I wish but 680 is +495 but the AMD is 250

It's the best out there. If you're a graphics geek in melee, your fps will drop everyone else's, just not as much as others.
If you don't care about graphics and in it for the battle, fps should be good short of zoomed in. Then it will drop like everyone else but not as much.

If it was a desktop, I'd get an aftermarket cpu cooler and overclock it.

I just heard of a problem that looks to be pretty wide-spread with sager laptops and AMD 7970M apparently theirs a problem that make the card under utilize its capacities or something which makes the fps drop enormisly so i am think about either going with the 675 or 680 but hoping their is a fix coming soon because the 7970M is just in my price range

Is it a Sager heat problem or a AMD software driver problem? Or maybe a little of both?

definitely a driver problem, but i am not good with computers but basically on many sager laptop the 7970m card forces the fps to go down to low numbers whether you're playing with high settings or low settings.

They have it set for the i7 graphics, then, instead of the 7970m.
I don't know enough to help you out here but it would be a Sager problem.
I'd go with the 680m, then, even over budget.

thanks but i decided to go with the 675 mainly because of the price but i heard it still runs game very well and it can run shogun 2
