A chance encounter (Closed RP for Lyonel)

ooc: Since eventually we're going to be mortal enemies I want to do more in depth RP, so we can establish a good history between our characters. As far as Atticus and Lyonel develop now I don't really care, friends or not. I'm just going to let the RP flow naturally

Atticus turned the corner abruptly, making swift progress towards the Slytherin dungeons. He had a few things he wanted to practice in his room, a spell he read in a book. Lost in thought, he ran headlong into a student that happened to be on the other side of the wall. Books flew into the air, and both boys fell flat on the floor. Atticus lay still for a moment, in a daze. Exactly what he needed to top off his day, a headache. Eventually he opened one eye and called out

You should probably keep your head out of that book when you're walking down the corridors at nightfall...

[Pinkerton]

Oh, I'm so sorry, I was just lost in my own thoughts

He standed up, and picked up his books;

We haven't met each other, have we?, I'm Lio Marygold, pleased to meet you

Lio smiled nervously, embarrassed because of the situation

Atticus slowly stood, rubbing his head slightly and checking for blood.

I saw you on the train...

He folded his arms.

But I can't remember if we actually met. I'm Atticus Prince, Slytherin. Well, what's your story, Lio?

[Pinkerton]

Well, my story?,

He was confused,

I was borned here in England, but when my mother passed away when I was four my father and me started to wander around the world. Egypt, Romania, Chile, Siam, we visited many countries. He nervously laughed, Well, we came back to England last year when my dad decided to send me to Hogwarts, and well, you know the rest, I got sorted in Gryffindor and not much more, yet

He smiled

And you Atticus, what's your "story"?

Atticus loosened up a bit, his arms sliding to his side.

Gryffindor, eh? That's a shame. In any case, I'm sure you'll fit in there. The hat is seldom wrong, you know. I've always wanted to go to Egypt, maybe glimpse some inferi...now that's the very definition of dark magic incarnate, don't you think?

He brushed himself off a bit before continuing.

I'm a half-blood from Spinner's End. Not that great of a town, but its home. This is my third year. I'm sorry, you didn't say what you were, half-blood or better, I'm assuming? Don't get me wrong, I don't care much for blood, but I find that muggle borns are, well, ignorant.

[Pinkerton]

I'm 3/4 of mage blood;

He cleared his throat

Well, they're ignorant because they're like foreigners. When we were at India my dad and me we met a, they call it Gurú, they're wizards that work without wands, mostly live outside of cities, and pass their knowledge from master to apprentice but they don't have schools., So, when we talked to him and saw him doing all that he did so naturally we couldn't believe it, and he spoke of that like it was the easiest, or the most known thing in the world.
But I think it mostly depends on the person, of how eager to learn and ambitious they are. My father told me once "Stupidity is not exclusive, at all, there are both stupid wizards and stupid muggles"

He scratched his right arm,

Atticus hid his disdain for the term "mage blood." It was one thing for people not to be prejudiced against blood, but to disregard it so openly...this was a unique wizard to be sure.

India, eh? These Gurus sound queer to me. Magic without a wand certainly can't be that powerful.

Atticus turned to leave, but turned around to make one final remark, his dark hair falling limply on the flanks of his face, obscuring it a bit

Take care, Lio. Don't fall in with the wrong group. Perhaps we could meet again later, I'd be fascinated to hear about Egypt.

Atticus tucked the book into his pocket and pulled his black robes around him. After spending several moments gazing at the grounds as night descended he headed off in the opposite direction.
