Was it ceaser in the live action trailer
I assume it is Octavian. Not sure who the old man is meant to be. Maybe Cicero. Octavian being the fresh, new, and vigorous face of the Empire while the old man represents the tired, old, and dieing Republic.
That is a awesome idea I hope ceaser is in this game did anyone else see the spqr flag I love Roman and ancient history it my fav history
it was spartacus
The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected. - G.K. CHESTERTON
Spartacus? if anyone it was Aphrodite and the Chimera!
But seriously, there's no way it was Caesar (not "Ceaser"), because no guards seized him, but I do like the notion that it could have been Octavius (young) and Cicero (old). I can see some vague resemblance in the old man's features to "Chickpea"
p.s Cicero is a nickname meaning chickpea

Will ceaser be in Rome ii
i assume it is Octavius and Cicero. refer to "Rome" mini series very much similar.
I hope not. I don't want to be following the exact history in rome 2.
I assumed that it wasn't a real life figure represented in the trailer. The whole point of the total war games is to make your own history not to re-enact what actually happened. I imagine the characters in the trailer are just meant to represent the betrayal, political machinations, etc that will be present in the game.

Awesome
CA is introducing more historical/narrative elements into the campaign, but we'll still be able to make our own history. This means we'll probably see certain characters (e.g. Caesar) and events unfold, and how we react to them will shape the course of our history.
"See that they are well supplied with beverages, with their drink avidity satisfied by giving them as much beverages they want. Then they will easily get defeated by their lust of yeast as by roman arms" Tacitus, Germania 23
It should have him if not it like spiting in his face
Damnit lawandorder82, for someone who is so obsessed with Julius Caesar, you should really learn how to spell his name
