    Default A Courtyard in Hogwarts

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

In between classes and usually for some time after as well, in one of the courtyards of Hogwarts, Violeta can be found practicing various forms of Divination, most of the time having another student actually asking her to do a reading or asks her a question to forsee with some form of Divination that she has with her to use for it. (It's a somewhat open rp.I would appreciate nobody tries to do anything drastic or troll/ruin the rp.) With her is a small group of other students in the Divination class watching her and discussing some of the practical elements they have learned in class, her cousin Ashley, and one or two others occassionally when she does readings.

Weatherby wasn't surprised to see the Dalcas in the courtyard as he strolled towards the Great Hall for an afternoon snack. The girls had become a typical sight on the stone benches as Violeta practiced her Divination and Ashley chatted with her other gal pals. Each day, he could count on seeing his friends spending their free time this way. This year, however, was the first time he'd noticed how the autumn wind swept strands of each girl's hair over the cheeks with each gust. He didn't think anything of it, and approached the girls with a jovial wave.

Ashley notices Weatherby first, and waves back to him. Violeta looks up after finishing a reading for a second year ravenclaw that was rather mixed, warning her to stay away from a mysterious person who may enter her life while at the same time not to let her fears control her. "Hey Weatherby, how are you?" Ashley eats a bit of candy while Violeta shuffles her cards. "Hello Weatherby."

"I'm hungry," Weatherby said in answer to Ashley's question, snaking a piece of candy from her and tossing it into his mouth. "Big surprise there, huh? How are the readings going today, Violeta?"

"Hah. What, the treats you probably cleaned out from the trolley when we got here not enough for you?" Ashley laughs and lightly punches Weatherby on the arm. "So, you and Cecil playing for Gryffindor this year? I'll try not to make you two look like fools when we play, eh?" Violeta looks at Weatherby as a gust of wind blows her hair in many different directions. "First one was a Hufflepuff. Rather decent, but overindulging in something may come back to haunt him. Next was a Slytherin. Misfortune, failure at finding love, quite sad, I suppose. Other than those, rather mixed between good and bad news. But the cards have a purpose in showing such things..perhaps to warn people, or not. I only can try to delve into the mists of what they truly show and try to glimpse the meaning. Eventually I hope to be able to see the true picture behind the mist.."

"Whoa now, Ashley. The only way you and your flying badgers are going to beat us is if we get blinded by your canary yellow uniforms,"
Weatherby teased. "We're looking better than ever. I'll promise not to catch the snitch too fast, so you guys can at least have a chance."

"Not a bad day of readings by the sound of it, Violeta. Have you been trying to add any new methods to your repertoire since last year? You'll have to let me know as soon as you start glimpsing through those 'mists'. I'll have you do my fortune again. I'd love to see what my 'mists' are hiding from me."

"Ha, ha. Very funny. I'll try not to break anything when I hit you with a bludger, Weatherby." Ashley sticks her tounge out. "We'll see once we play if your training is any good..don't think we've been slacking off. Hufflepuff will win the cup this year!"

Violeta nods. "Yes. Xylomancy. Burning wood and analyzing that. Although I don't think may people would like that method due to it...being fire related and all so I don't have much practice in it besides combining it with fire omens when I stare at a fireplace. As for the mists, they still keeping that birdman hidden from you?"

The two girls roll their eyes. Clearly the pillar wasn;t moving. Violeta sees a Gryffindor third year approach. "You the girl that does fortunes?" "Yes...would you like one done?" "Sure. Can you do Tessomancy?" Violeta pours the student a cup of tea for the reading, then after he finished drinking it, she reads the leaves. "Apple. Creativity, a daisy. New love. So far, you'll have a week where creativity will pay off for you and may end up falling in love..finally, the fish. Sharing of knowledge will benefit you."The Gryffindor thanks her and leaves after a short discussion about Tessomancy and the signs in general.

Lio walked out to the yard,

He smiled as soon as he saw the gargoyles, The castle had a mystic feeling which he loved

He saw a Hufflepuff first year almost falling down after walking at a Pillar, and chuckled

Ralph had been walking through the courtyard to go to his usual spot out by Hagrid's, going to feed Eurydice as usual, and had also seen the boy walk right into a pillar.
He stopped next to Lio and began laughing.

he replies with an amiable grin.

"Ah, I know what you mean." Ralph gestures in the direction he was heading, opposite from the castle, out towards the forest.
"Just got to find an outlet I'd say; I find taking naps out on a certain hill very refreshing."

Ashley looks over at Violeta, who is doing another reading for her. "I said I didn't want one.." "I'm bored...and I already did one for myself." "Fine..." Violeta has the empty cup of tea in front her, gazing at the position and formation of the leaves around the cup, and at the bottom. "A Crescent..a ivy leaf..the moon. Apparently you'll have a journey with a reliable friend that may turn into something more.." "I did not have to hear that." Violeta laughs and then goes to pour herself a cup of tea, noticing the kettle she brought out is empty. She shuffles the deck of tarot cards and plays around with them, but adjusts her body to keep as much wind as possible away from the cards.

Ralph's attention is suddenly grabbed by the two look-alike girls sitting by the fountain, and strides over to them.
"I think I've heard of you two... Can I have a reading, just for grins?" He says with a chuckle.

Violeta nods, and reshuffles the tarot cards before assembling them out in the celtic cross formation."The first card is the World arcana, in reverse. Usually meaning triumph or achievement, perhaps it represents you starting on a journey instead of finishing one. Second is the eight of pentacles...referred to as the apprenticeship card, may just mean you being a student." She slightly laughs at that statement before flipping over the third card,"Ah, the Nine of Swords. As the third card position is your past, it may hint to anxiety or a feeling of oppression you may have had. Next we have the Hanging man arcana, in the immediate past position. It represents understanding and having a different perspective. In the next two positions, of what the cards say to be your current thoughts and the immeidate future, we have the ten of wands and seven of wands, respectively. First, the Ten represents feeling overburned but can be overcome with determination, while the seven represents overcoming obstacles. To summarize all this, it appears that you may have had anxiety about something along with a different perspective than the normal one, currently you are a student beginning a journey, and through determination you can overcome the obstacles before you. The next four cards represent your fears, the environment's influence on you, your hopes, and the final outcome" She flips over the four cards in a line to the side, revealing the King of Swords at the bottom, the three of swords, the page of wands, and finally the knight of wands at the top. "King of Swords..perhaps you fear chaos as it's usually a card related with order..three of swords, the environment around you is full of quarrels and challenges..the page of wands..you wish to become fearless and have a life full of action..and the outcome..Knight of Wands. Represents a man who is energetic, adventurous and full of ideas.." She stops and takes a small sip of water. "There you go.
