On both this save and your previous save you had 2 siege towers. The game will not let you attack the castle with only siege towers, you need ladders and/or rams.

Never had that happen to me, but I don't recall ever building only siege towers

if a castle has more than 1 wall it requires more than siege towers because they can only be used to atatck outwer walls.

Ladders can be used on the outer walls and sent through a gate allowing them to be used to attack multiple walls as long as you have enough of them.

Rams can be used on gates and sent through them making them usefull for attacking multiple walls.
