    Default Faction leader choises

I thought about something.. what if you could choose yourself how evil your faction leader could be? not to change his personalities, thats not what i mean.
I mean we could have more options how to control the nation.. one option could be to allow slave trade which will give a lot of money but also risks of unrest if you overdo it. And everything you do will have an effect on your faction leaders traits. If people hates him, there is a reason for it. Could be some of the options you tick.

These options could be many. Could also be that you set your own laws.. Just tell me what you think about this and maybe you have more option ideas?

I like the idea to have a Slave Manager like you have a Tax manager. But to make it a bit simpler; If you choose to have a high slavery rate and therefore accumulate revolt risk, i think that the revolt risk should be tied to the entire Empire and not to the specific Faction Leader. The slave manager map could, just like the tax manager map, have different regions or areas that will be given a different colour depending on the revolt risk. Towns with more populations are more likely to inhabit more slaves, and thus shall those regions be more likely to cause an uprising.

I do however hope that we'll see a return of the R:TW city management where squalor and such plays a big role. If this return the slavery-thing should be incorporated with it.

Allow Slave trade?... take a look at the date on which the game is set again. I for once dont have good memories of squalor & co, slaugthering the pop of your city periodically (in vanilla) wasnt very fun.

It was fun in a challenging-kind-of-way, imo. The big plagues happened like two times each campaign as i remember it. It makes big empires vulnerable since they tend to have big cities, which is a good balancing strategy.

Barristan; Are you telling me that slaves where not around in these times, or that you had no control over them since they where so common. Or what are you saying?

This, i doubt you would be able to have any kind of control over that.

I like the idea of having your actions influencing the city/empire, and the traits that faction members acquire. But that would require OPTIONS for them to choose something, like they had in S2TW, but a lot more expanded. Not saying that's a bad thing, I'd love that: more roleplaying etc. But the proper coding would have to be implemented for that.
Look not above, there is no answer there; Pray not, for no one listens to your prayer; Near is as near to God as any Far, And Here is just the same deceit as There.

And do you think that unto such as you; A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew: God gave the secret, and denied it me?-- Well, well, what matters it! Believe that, too.

I think it would be fun, to have the option to become a character when they're born. Now I know this is complicated and maybe even impractical but imagine naming your "heir, managing everything the same; except that character is you." You may not lead your family but if the 'you' manage too you could have bonus income, traits, personal armies with a different banner. That would be fun (personal armies could be discouraged by Rome potential treason; senate stand, as they see it as a threat and may not be as good or take much time to perfect even to average Roman standards.), and then after the passing of that 'you' may be aloud to elect another one, but it'd be both an optional thing in the game (pre-campaign, at Menu when deciding factions) and you could only do it to certain characters the game would randomly allow, chosen; circumstance.
