Please don't do that, I LOVE the campaign map as it is now ... It ads some realism to the game
Indeed Stoopisaurus, the current system with the drawn map is great. It adds way more to immersion. We have the maps, now let's go explore it.
You really think they're going to have the complete map pre-discovered like in Empire and Napoleon?? that's half the point of the Ancient setting!![]()

No im not saying have it already discovered i mean by that undiscovered parts of the map in shogun are a flat drawn map with pictures of mountains and stuff, i want the undiscovered campaign map to go back to the previous games like rome and medieval2 where it was the blank land covered in fow, i just dont like the shogun 2 hand drawn campaign map thingy, it fits the shogun style but i dont think it would go well with rome 2 IMO
The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of the Conservatives is to prevent the mistakes from being corrected. - G.K. CHESTERTON
I gotta agree FOW will only enhance the experience. Go Medieval 2
I liked the Shogun map, it created a sense of mystery and permeated this concept that you were literally entering the "unknown". The time period of Rome is chalk-full of tribes and nations that are "barbaric" and "mysterious" to any other nation. Each Interaction should be a moment of enlightenment... My biggest hope is that the map will be bigger, more settlements, more land, more factions... MORE![]()
I love the Shogun FOW system, but in Rome we're going to need a toggle_fow, just to admire the map![]()

I like the map thing also. I mean, the advanced factions did know pretty much how the known world looked like at this time with generalized maps. Maybe it can be a tech? Less advanved factions has a black FOW, while factions that has tech'd Cartography has a drawn map FOW.
This is not the place to discuss grammar.

I don't see the point of a blank FOW map. Because it's only "really" blank the first time you play, then you kinda remember where the towns and villages are, or you have a game map from the game case and you look there.
